CHURCH ADDRESS: LIFE BUILDERS COMMUNITY is at the Farron Cafe International Office at Room
1601, West Trade Center, West Avenue, Quezon City. Landmark: BDO and Mila's
Lechon at the entrance of the building. Our Sunday morning service is at 10
A.M.

CHURCH MEMBERS: 20-35 members

1. Adults – ranging 10 couples

2. Youth – ranging 5-8
3. Children – ranging 5-10
4. Young adult – ranging 5-7

CHURCH BRIEF HISTORY

Our church is a five-month old. We are in the pioneering stage in Quezon City. It was started
by our pastor, Leo Duites who is also our teacher in our Thursday Discipleship Group. This group is
composed of Christians from different churches and denominations. We held our first church service
last first Sunday of July 2017. Now we have no denomination affliation but we planned to be part of
one denomination next year. Our church worship hall is one of the offices of Farron Cafe, who is my
supporter in my studies in Febias. They also support our church by providing our place, instruments,
chairs and equipments. But our finances are from different persons. Today we are focusing our
energy to make church members. We are going to accept church membership January 2018 then
those who are willing would proceed to water baptism. Lastly, we are praying to God for our next
mission for the growth of the church.

EIGHT CHARACTERISTICS OF A GROWING CHURCH.

1. Empowering Leadership
a. Strengths – our pastor develops more than 200 church leaders all over the world. He
is teaching three free discipleship class, open to all Christians of different
denomination. He is not G12 members. He does not like it. He is a strong leader. I
can see him delegating duties and responsibilities to us, church leaders. And he does
not “baby-sit”his leaders.
b. Weaknesses - Inclined to be too narcisistic.
2. Gift-oriented Ministry
a. Strengths – our church preaches and teaches spiritual giftings which so many
churches do not teach. We had spiritual gift test instructed by our pastor.
 b. Weaknesses – even though many of us knew their giftings but because we are
pioneering church, we have not yet given them ministries in our church.
3. Passionate-spirituality
a. Strengths –.we first deal with our own private life before our public life. We believe
that if we are fixing and strengthing our inner self we will surely become stronger in
our public life. We are taught on how to listen to God’s voice clearly. And to develop
a study habit of God’s Word.
4. Functional structures
a. Strengths – our church leaders are cooperative and respecting our views. We do not
encourage a one-man team
b. Weaknesses – we are still discovering and developing our church government.
5. Inspiring worship service
a. Strengths - our church encourages to worship God freely and purely without being
legalistics in approach and expression. We do free-worship in our “praise and
worship time”. But we are conscious of our time.
b. Weaknesses – some of us are new that is why they are not yet freely expressing
their worship through singing.
6. Holistic small groups
a. Strengths – we started Bible studies with our members during our 3 month as a
church in our 3 members.
b. Weaknesses – because many of us are far from each other geographically speaking,
we cannot find a place to meet for small groups.
7. Need-oriented evangelism
a. Strengths – we are not afraid to evangelize people. We are actively inviting people
to come to our church.
b. Weaknesses – as of now, we do not have ministry that would help our evangelism
ministry.
8. Loving relationships
a. Strengths – we are encouraging giving to people. We frequently eat outside after the
service. Church members are being prayed for in our church service. We raise funds
for the sick and needy members.

MY RECOMMENDATION:
Start an intensive planning for the next year, 2018. Make a written goals for the growth of
the church. Develop more church teacher for the Bible studies. Strengthen the small groups outside
the church. Pray and seek God’s ways for the development of our church leaders and members. Plan
for the vision and mission statements of the church.
