PRO Rationale
Great Thinkers Society is an organization that intends to present to the youth a clear
perspective of the real life situation occurring in our world and to inculcate in their
minds the rightful way of thinking and reasoning and to help the youth establish and
develop firm stand among issues contemplating the La Sallian Core Values.

As far as we know, Republic of the Philippines is an archipelago of some 7,100 islands

which support a broad range of highly productive ecosystems, tropical forests and
mountains, mangrove swamps and coral reefs – a majestic paradise. But even the
paradise, we endure problems caused by a high incidence of poverty and abuse most
specifically the abuse of natural resources. We have been involved in the effort to
diminish four major problems of the Philippine environment, the problems of
The Advisers deforestation, air pollution, water pollution, urban waste and garbage. In order to
attain a well-organize society one must be aware to restore nature and with that, as
Dr. Jan Philip Mallari a result, the desire of having a sustainability development would be finally achieved.
This big problem in the country affects this generation and even the future
Mr. Loreto Camiloza generation. As part of this putting awareness and educating the young students
especially Lasallians towards true leadership will help in solving our country’s crisis.

2014-2015 Through this event, sustainability will be emphasized since development and the
state of the environment are interconnected with each other. Defying this haste
