7.3. Project Time management: the processes is required to ensure timely completion of the project,
control the amount of time that it takes staff to build deliverables within a project, increasing your chances of
delivering "on time" and to schedule.

1. Identify key project milestones.

Basic

2. Create an activity list using decomposition of the lowest level of the WBS.
3. Estimate the number of work periods and possible work duration ranges.
4. Identify and document the types of interactivity dependencies within the project

1. Identify customer expectations with regards to timing of delivery, major milestones, and any
schedule and delivery constraints
2. Develop activity duration estimates for project scheduling using various tools
3. Identify activity leads, lags, and constraints
Intermediate

4. Understand the advantages and disadvantages of the different types of project schedule formats
(Knowledge only).
5. Develop a schedule management plan, including establishing a schedule baseline, documenting
how schedule variances will be managed, identifying schedule change control system procedures,
and define float time activities.
6. Validate the WBS by ensuring that performing all activities will complete all deliverables.

1. Conduct ongoing analysis of options to identify variances and forecast the impact of changes on the
Advanced

schedule.
2. Review progress throughout the project life cycle and implement agreed schedule changes to ensure
consistency with changing scope, objectives, and constraints related to time and resource
availability

7.4. Project Quality management: To ensure that the design and construction of a project meet the
quality requirements established to meet the customer's expectations or exceeding the customer expectations
achieved by way of deliverables and/or activities performed to produce those deliverables.

1. Execute project quality control, assurance, and improvement processes

2. Perform inspections, reviews, and walkthroughs to ensure that items are properly documented as
Basic

accepted, rejected, or identified for rework.

3. Identify and implement actions needed to increase project effectiveness and efficiency.
4. Document project quality outcomes in a format suitable for comparison and analysis

1. Monitor specific project results to ensure compliance with requirements (relevant quality standards)
using appropriate checklists.
Intermediate

2. Develop project quality metrics and performance checklists.

5.
3. Determine quality objectives, standards, and levels, with input from stakeholders and guidance of
5.
higher project authorities, to establish the basis for quality outcomes.
4. Document lessons learned, including causes of activities leading to quality changes, types of quality
changes, reasons for selecting specific corrective actions, and classification of quality
change causes for further analysis
5. Perform project quality control testing and measurement

1. Evaluate project quality control, assurance, and improvement issues

Advanced

2. Implement process adjustments to ensure quality improvement efforts.

3. Develop project quality policies and ensure they are aligned with the organization/Department
quality policy.
4. Utilize techniques, cause/effect diagrams, trend analysis, and statistical sampling for inspections

7.5. Project Resource management: The process determines the level of resources needed to complete
a project. Specifying the exact quantities of equipment and materials needed to complete your project.

activities1. Implement programs that enhance project team performance.

2. Develop project team policies and procedures.
3. identify resources for any project.
Basic

4. Develop a responsibility assignment matrix

5. Allocate project staff to and within the project or directed by a higher project authority, to meet
competency requirements throughout the project life cycle
6. Communicate designated staff responsibilities, authority, and personal performance measurement
criteria, to ensure clarity of understanding of the work and to provide a basis for ongoing
assessment
Intermediate

1. Predict and plan resources for future projects

2. Perform resources leveling to avoid resources over allocated.

1. Identify staff requirements/assignments through a process of defining the skill types required,
Advanced

defining the types of individuals/ groups required, developing job/position descriptions,
