Class and Instructor Policies

⁃ Please feel free to meet me during office hours, or other times may be decided upon by
appointment. The best way to contact me is by email.
⁃ This is a blended class and students are expected to have access to the necessary equipment to
fulfill the duties of an online class.
⁃ If you are taking this in an online or blended format attendance is still a priority. Your
attendance is noted by your on-time delivery of assignments.
⁃ All assignments, tests and quizzes are due on the date assigned in Blackboard.
⁃ I do not accept late work.
⁃ There is no MAKE UP work in this class. This is an 8-week class format and there is not time
to make up work.
⁃ There is a no tolerance policy for missing classes, meetings with business clients or group
meetings. Again this is an 8 week course and no absences can happen. More than one
absence in this class will result in a meeting with the instructor and advisement to drop
the class or be administratively withdrawn.
⁃ Students are expected to read and study the assigned materials and do the assigned work for
each week.

Plagiarism notice: Material that you use in papers, projects, or other written work (except if it is
done as an in-class exercise or test) that is not original or generally considered to be common
knowledge should be cited for its source. Except in formal research papers, I am not as concerned
about the style of citation as I am about the fact that you have acknowledged the source in such a
way that I could, if I desired, readily look it up. If a student turns in an assignment with language
that is identical or nearly identical to that of another student or students, no one using that identical
language will receive credit for the assignment. This, of course, does not include material from an
outside source which several students may have used, as long as it is cited as being from an outside
source.

Some errors in grading I will only correct for people who point them out; in other words,
a clear error in grading (in a quantitative question, for instance), I will correct and give
credit.

Administrative Withdraws: Students who enroll this course and have poor attendance and/or
poor participation as determined by the instructor) may be administratively withdrawn
involuntarily). Students who are administratively withdrawn will be responsible for payment and
repaying any financial aid received for the course or courses that must be returned to the
