Simulation Engineer – Electromobility

Position Description
The Electromobility department is part of the strategic center for powertrain development in the
Volvo Group and performs state-of-the-art research and cutting edge engineering with the goal
of maintaining our position as leaders in the global trend of electrification. Being part of the
Electromobility unit also means being a part of a global and diverse team of highly skilled
professionals working with energy, passion and respect for each other.

Right now there is an opportunity to join the Electromobility team as a Simulation Engineer. The
position offers the opportunity to work in the early concept evaluation stages of development,
influencing the future of sustainable mobility solutions. There is a large degree of freedom in
how to model the complexities of the systems considered and we are looking for someone with
a creative mindset.

In addition, there’re also collaborations with sales to evaluate current vehicles for new markets.
As the work involves communication with many internal groups, a proven ability to network and
work in teams is desirable.

High level of commitment and strong analytical mindset

Knowledge from Matlab/Simulink is required
Masters’ degree in relevant area (electrical engineering, engineering physics etc.) or
several years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of electrical powertrains is meritorious
