Location: Calgary
The principal focus of this position is to manage and develop the project management team, rather
than being a hands-on Project Manager.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Communication Management
Facilitate the weekly Project Status Meeting
Lead the monthly project financial reviews and support Finance in the maintenance of forecasting
revenue and ECAC
Support and guide the team in critical project discussions such as pre-bid meetings, project approval
reviews, risk analysis reviews, collaborative contract reviews, baseline scheduling meetings, close-
out meetings, among others
Attend ad hoc meetings with third parties (i.e. customers, subcontractors, consultants, engineers
and/or local authorities) in order to support the Project Team
Continuous Improvement
Work with the National Director as part of the PMO to improve, standardize and implement the
Project Management Practice across the company (incl. structure, process, tools, knowledge and
skills)
In addition to the national improvement initiatives, local improvement initiatives shall be identified
and implemented as well.
Take full responsibility for the actions of the project management team and the performance of the
project’s within the Prairies Market Area Portfolio. Experience the consequences, enjoy the rewards

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
10 years of Construction Project Management Experience
Experience with precast concrete manufacturing is a definite asset
Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Demonstrated track record of successfully managing projects and delivering on the target scope,
budget, schedule and quality objectives
Demonstrated track record of driving performance improvement through the implementation of
changes to project management proceses and tools
Education
Completed an Engineering Degree or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution is
preferred.
Received formal project management education from a certified PMI training partner or other
recognized educational institutions; a definite asset.
A basic knowledge of contract law
Skills
Effective communicator who is fluent in English (oral and written)
Broad technical background and strong technical aptitude (i.e. conversant with construction
drawings and specifications, codes, procedures and standards)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with project management software programs (such as MS Project)
Experience using ERP solutions such as SAP or comparable solution is a definite asset Thank you for
