GEMS FOR MANKIND
(Quranic Verses On Social Values)

This writing is an effort to present and galvanise in the minds,

some of the verses from the Glorious Quran pertaining to social
interaction. Regrettably, some isolated misguided lunatic outfits,
branding themselves as “muslims”, are using violent methods to
promote their myopic and distorted ideologies. These fundamentalists
practice terrorism, radicalism and extremism. All in the name of Islam!
They doctrinate young minds into killing innocent people. Mosques,
immambargahs are no more safe places for the faithfully to go to pray
in peace. Suicide bombing for mass killing has become order of the
day for these satnic outfits. The hidden hand behide these incidents
seem to have become abiquitious like-Lucifer. Beheading of state
functionaries, bombing audio and video shops, forcing closure of shops
of barbers and ladies tailors has become their way of life. Their only
aim seems to harm the ideology of Islam and to divide Pakistan on
religious and ethnic lines.

For that matter, lot us quote here Hazrat Bulleh Shah. He was a
Sufi poet of Kasur (Punjab-Pak). His 250th anniversary took place in
the year 2007. His body could not be buried for seven days in the city
where he lived his entire life as it was dominated by fanatics who did
not like his poetry which challenged them as the custodian of Islam.

One of his couplets said that you could not come near God by merely
going to Makkah or by taking dips in the holy Ganges. You have to
shed prejudice and hatred from your heart if you wanted to be near the
Almighty.

This brings us to the question: Are we conducting our national

fight against these elements who are out to harm Islam? Let the authors
hope that their little effort be an ambassador of good-will and
understanding between Islam and the followers of other faiths on the
globe. No wonder, Islam is a multiculturalism entity.
