Product Description
TufBond Injection Resins are used for the
injection and sealing of concrete. There are
two main areas of use. For structural bonding
and repairs, high strength epoxy resins such
as TufBond TX & ULV are used. For pre-
venting water seepage or for sealing live and
moving cracks, elastic or foaming poly-
urethane resins such as TufBond UR10 or
UR15 are used.
For applications in water retaining structures
or anywhere were a non-toxic grade of mate-
rial is required and where the installation may
be continually damp, use TufBond UR15.

where reinstatement of structural integri-
ty is required.
• Sealing live and static cracks where water
leakage is occurring.
• Sealing water leakage through construc-
tion and expansion joints.

Products Available
TufBond UR10: An economical two com-
ponent polyurethane injection resin that
foams to prevent water ingress; polyurethane
based MDI prepolymer. Mix ratio is 90% base
and 10% reactor, by weight. This produces a
cream time of 15 seconds, a gel time of 3.5
minutes and a tack free foam time of 4.5 min-
utes. A highly resilient foam is produced and
injection systems
the expansion is 16 times the original resin
quantity. (All tests at 35oC). For lower tem-
peratures, the percentage of reactor is
increased. At 25oC, 2% more reactor would
be required.
• Reacts with seawater and mineral water.
• Solvent free and odourless.
• Suitable for strong water flow.
• Produces a firm polyurethane, rigid,
hydrophobic foam.
• Can be second sealed using TufBond
UR15 to provide a flexible seal.
• Can be pre-mixed and pumped through a
single injection pump.
TufBond UR15: A solvent free, single com-
ponent, flexible polyurethane injection resin
for permanent sealing of cracks with water
leakage; hydrophilic polyurethane based TDI
prepolymer with polyether polyols. Single
component for flexible sealing of cracks with
water flow or seepage. TufBond UR15 has an
SG of 1.10 and a very low viscosity of just 7.0
poise, @ 25oC; it reacts on impact with water
to form an impermeable seal. At a mix ratio of
four parts resin to one part of water by vol-
ume, the polyurethane seal will form after 120
seconds. The increase in volume will be seven
times.

vents, mild acids and alkalis.
• Reacts with sea and mineral water.
TufBond TX: A thixotropic epoxy resin for
structural repairs. Crack widths > 0.4 mm.
Specific gravity : 1.07@ 30˚C.
Viscosity : 7.50 poise
Pot life : 105 mins @ 30˚C.
Gel time : 10 hours @ 30˚C.
Final cure : 7 days.
Mix ratio by weight : 2 resin: 1 hardener.
Comp. strength : 78 N/mm2 @ 7 days
Tensile strength : 47 N/mm2 @ 7 days

TufBuild NF is required for sealing cracks

and positioning injection packers.

Guidelines for Injection

For large injection projects, it is recommend-

ed that the services of a specialist applicator
be used. For smaller projects, printed guide-
lines are available.

Packaging & Storage

TufBond Injection Resins are available in

1 & 20 litre units. Nine months shelf in origi-
nal packaging, stored in air-conditioned ware-
housing at less than 25˚C.

Health & Safety

As with all GIC chemical products, care

should be taken to avoid contact with skin,
eyes, mouth and foodstuffs. Treat splashes to
eyes and skin immediately. If ingested seek
medical attention.
