Naveena Group of Industries’ illustrious history commenced in 1967 under the dynamic
leadership of Mr. Iftikhar Ahmed Khalid. Since then, Naveena has reached great heights and
performed beyond expectations. Today, after forty years of constant growth, Naveena is one of
the major players in its product category catering to customers all over the world.
Initially founded as an embroidery unit, Naveena has become one of the leading
manufacturers of fabric in Pakistan. We have equal expertise in blended and 100% cotton fabrics
and are able to produce all kinds of plain fabric, twills, drills, duck, satin, dobby, etc. We also
have our own spinning unit – Ahmed Oriental Textile Mills Limited, thus making us vertically
integrated and enabling us to manufacture customized yarns and fabrics.
Our vision for the future led to significant investment in air-jet technology. Our new air-jet
units have increased our production capacity to more than 50,000,000 meters of the highest
quality fabric per anum.
3. Industrial Tour:
I along with 43 students left for visit at 10 a.m. and took about one an hour to cover
the distance. The company is located at bahadur pur chock in Rahim Yar Khan city
4. What we see:
There are four category of production of garments in Naveena textile industry.
4.1 Spinning:
Ahmed Oriental Textile Mill is a high end spinning facility, located in Rahim Yar Khan,
and was acquired by Naveena Group in 1992. The yarn produced here is exported to USA,
Europe and the Far East. A considerable quantity of this yarn is also utilized in our own weaving
facilities. The current capacity at Ahmed Oriental Textile Mill is around 120,000 pounds per day.
4.2 Weaving:
The weaving division of Naveena Group is advantageously based in two different
locations - Karachi and Rahim Yar Khan. In addition to optimum utilization of our expertise
in shuttle less weaving, we have invested heavily in modern air-jet looms keeping in view
our constant drive to keep in line with the latest available technology. This strategic
expansion has enabled us to meet growing international demand for high quality specialized
fabrics as well as enhancing our production capacities along with improvement in the quality
of our products. Combined with spinning facilities at our sister concern, this makes us
vertically integrated with the ability to manufacture customized products as per order.
4.3 Tanning:
Distributing chemical products for tanning industries and raw textile materials, EICO
Novachem offers excellent choices, both in regards to compound producers as well as companies
that use these raw materials in productive processes, such as tanners, dyeing plants and leather
finishing companies.
5. Electricity generation:
In Naveena industry there are Six generator that produce the electricity which is
consumed in all over the industry.

approach learning to students.
8. Conclusion:
At the end, we can say that with our academic studies the industrial tours and visits is
also important because thy helps a lot to broad our mind. So, I request to HOD that there
should be a industrial tour in every semester for students.
