Wonder of wonders

( Nature’s tendencies and peculiarities )

I have never ceased to wonder

At the Nature’s wonderful propensities

To create, to care or scare

To grow, develop or snare
To attract, repel or neither
Yet go on further and farther

Playing hide and seek cleverly

Pushing to and fro meaningfully
Changing form frequently
From infinity to eternity
Nay eternity to infinity
In timing and sequence, precisely
In measured steps & space ceaselessly
Living and nonliving arbitrarily!
From time immemorial continuously.

Oh! How it fascinates me

And awakens deep curiosity
To know more and more and more
Of its secret ways and properties
And about its astounding qualities

Seeking unity in diversity

Nay admiring amazing diversity
In underlying unseen! unity.
And as I probe the matter further and further
My neuro cells generate thoughts that wander
Far and near, here and there, almost everywhere

Some times ‘looking’ at the ‘nano’ (s) inside all

At other times at grand phenomena far beyond all

Peeping through microscope or telescope

Virtually trying to fathom Nature’s horoscope

My eyes widen and my heart begins to throb

In an effort to visualize and unravel its mysteries
And find it indeed very difficult to cope

What with happenings since time began

and with those yet to be ; and great hope
In a Nature pregnant with possibilities.

Look! At the chemicals in the so called nonliving ‘mode’

Their molecules, atoms, electrons, protons and neutrons
Or for that matter quarks, lepton, bosons and other ‘ons’
Oh! Why they attract and why they repel ?;
unite or pull apart at all !

How and why arrays and arrays of atoms upon atoms

In this way or that way form such beautiful patterns?
How each atom knows exactly where to fit in !
And at what angle and in what number to begin
forming a molecule and joining in a particular way
To make or assume some particular form or forms.

Oh! Why atoms and within them electrons and protons

Keep vibrating energetically as if ‘dancing’ all the time
Like Lord Shiva’s divine ‘Tandav’ once upon a time

And these naughty guys-electrons

keep jumping --- from time to time .
Ay! from shell to shell or when ever they get a chance-
Forthwith racing alone or together for creating a current,
generating force –energizing, initiating actions and reactions-
giving, saving or taking life .

Oh! If you turn to the other world and in it to those

on the borders of living and nonliving worlds –
the notorious Virus or their nearest living ‘guys’
the unicellular organisms like diatoms & bacteria
and just let your eyes roam and I bet you will be
wonderstruck by their beautiful architectural designs
in so simple, symmetrical & functional, amazing
styles.

How clever are these viruses, you know,

remaining passive when time is not on their side
And becoming active instantly when opportunity knocks the door—
‘take off’ ( like a Rocket from launcher type body in some cases)
and ‘land’ like a rocket or a helicopter on its ‘pad’ on host surface
entering like a Trojan horse- injecting their fighting force ‘DNA’ inside
an unsuspecting enemy host ; and once in ,fight ,or become dormant
and wherever and whenever possible defeat & control the enemy cells
of the so called ‘higher’! forms unless and until the host somehow
succeeds In outwitting and getting rid of them from their inside .

NB : Any keen observer of Nature is bound to be fascinated and wonder

struck by the ways and styles with which the Nature fashions its ‘World’ – the
whole of universe and follows the fundamental Laws it has chiseled for itself
meticulously, timely precisely and aesthetically in ‘,awesome’ manner .which
amaze and astound us and leave us spell bound .,
This poem introduces the universal tendencies and peculiarities
which assume the form of principles and propensities visible every where if one
has eye to see .

In the past philosophers have tried to do so .and given rise to myths

and legends in an effort to explain mind boggling phenomena but today scientists
are trying to appreciate facts and expound them rationally .
