I Have chosen Mr. Ram babu for my project . He is a Paint contracrtor who
takes ccontract for POP, Fall ceiling ,oil painting ,oil polish,paints in the house
including metallic paints ,acrylic paints etc .He specialises in interior & exterior
painting of house.

1.Age & size of business.


Mr. Ram babu who is of 28 years at present has been working since past 10
years . He started of as a labour at the age of 18 years then after few years he
started working as a worker under a painting contractor .It was under his
guidance that he learned the tits &bits of this job & after 4 months he started
his own business of taking interior & exterior painting contracts in Greater
noida & near by villages, of houses , shops ,companies & schools.

The first contract he got was that of Ascent school Delta 1 . He got this contract
through reference .

It was after successful completion of this project that he got many contracts
later on & after that there was no looking back .At present he is working on 4
projects simultaneously .He feels proud to say that since past 8 years he has
never been without work .

2.Location & advantage


He takes painting contracts in Greater Noida & its near by villages .However
he has also taken few contracts in Delhi also in past .

Location advantage :- Greater Noida has witnessed a very rapidly progressing


emergence. It has begun to shape up as one of the smartest cities of India. The
development in the area is so fast that it is attracting a lot of people from
Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon and Delhi towards it.Thus there are a lot of
constructions taking place which have to be painted & residents residing also
require frequent interior & exterior painting of their houses.There are many
villages in the near by area . It is under the purview of the National Capital
Region (NCR) of India. It is located about 40-kilometre (25 mi) south-east
of New Delhi and about 20-kilometre (12 mi) south-east of Noida, one of the
largest industrial townships in Asia.

3.Functional aspects
 Investment :-Initially luckily he didnot have to invest anything to run the
business. The first contract he got was that of ASCENT SCHOOL IN
GREATER NOIDA .He got in touch with his village friends & called
them to work for him . He taught them how to paint .Thus the team of 6
persons at that time got together to work .After working for 10 days he
got the money & paid his workers . This was only possible because the
workers he had employed were his known ones who worked nearly for 10
days without any money .
But since the business has grown now there is investment of about 50,000
to 1 lakh which is easily recovered .
Most of the contracts he take are through reference so people trust him
because of his entire teams descent image & easily gets advance money
from them through which he buys paints & pays his workers .

 Procurement :-

House painting is labour intensive task . Both interior and exterior painting
require considerable physical effort & paints . Typically, exterior painting is the

customer .the interesting point about him is that he takes contract of paints
with material & quotation he offers is very affordable & less than others in
the nearby area.

He takes labour from his village & through reference of his workers .Because he
believes in giving Quality work & customer satisfaction So he makes sure that
each & every worker knows his job very well , behaves properly & does not
drink or smoke while on work .

 Quality control
 He insures quality in his work by giving proper finishing to each &
every wall . It is made sure that the base is smooth,if the base finish
is good then only the paint will shine on it .
 It is also made sure that workers employed are not addicted to
smoke , drink or gutka , are dedicated towards their work & do
their best to fully satisfy their customers .If a customer is not
satisfied with the outcome of paint on the wall then the labours are
taught to redo the paint with a smile instead of arguing .
