AGE 60 YEARS WITHDRAWAL

PURPOSE

Account Emas is an extension to the current Age 55 Withdrawal in accordance with the minimum retirement age of 60
years old

APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY

1. Member is a Malaysian Citizen; OR a Non-Malaysian Citizen

2. Member has reached the age of 60
3 Application can be submitted 1 month before date of birth (New)

WITHDRAWAL AMOUNT ELIGIBILITY

Members can opt for Account Emas flexible withdrawal according to the eligible withdrawal amount

Note:
1. Members with Malaysian citizenship who has fully withdrawn from Account Emas (lump-sum withdrawal) are still
eligible to contribute and make subsequent withdrawals under the following circumstances:

 One year after the previous withdrawal
OR
Savings amount to reach RM2, 000 after 30 days from the previous withdrawal

2. Non-Malaysian Citizen is no longer liable to contribute once the Age 60 Withdrawal is made

MODES OF PAYMENT

1. Payment in Malaysia
All withdrawal payments will be credited directly into member’s account subject to the following:
- Member has an active account with a panel bank appointed by EPF; AND
- Member’s identification number matches with that of the bank’s record AND
- Payment is made in Ringgit Malaysia (RM)
- If the payment cannot be credited successfully into member’s bank account, payment will be made via banker’s
cheque

2. Remittance of Payment to Foreign Countries

Payment is made via Foreign Bank Draft. Types of currencies are as follows:
- Foreign currency as per member’s choice stated in the application form, subject to the currency being available in
EPF’s list for the purpose of payment via Foreign Bank Draft; OR
- US Dollar if the currency stated by the member in the withdrawal form is not available in EPF’s list for the purpose
of payment via Foreign Bank Draft

LIST OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1. Submission at the Counter

i) For My Card Holder

- Present My Card for a hassle-free application process, as members are not required to fill up the KWSP 9B (AHL)
Application Form

ii) For Non-My Card Holder

- EPF Application Form 9B (AHL)
- Identification document (both original and copy)

iii) EPF Form 3 (Revised)

- If thumbprint verification fails

iv) Bank Account Information

Members are encouraged to bring along their bank passbook / savings account statement or a photocopy of their
account statement when making an application) to facilitate the process of making withdrawal payment

2. Submission by Mail
- EPF Withdrawal Application Form 9B (AHL)
- A copy of My Card / identification document
- EPF Form 3 (Revised). Please ensure that all photocopied documents have been verified by an officer authorized
by the EPF. (Other additional documents are subject to the current terms and procedures)

1. Please refer to the Document Checklist for Age 50 / 55 / 60 / Savings of More Than RM1 Million Withdrawal at the EPF
website or refer to any EPF branches for all the necessary documents

2. EPF reserves the rights to request any additional documents as required and to reject any incomplete applications
which do not comply to the terms and conditions

ATTENTION AND NOTICE TO APPLICANT

Incorrect or False Declaration or Furnishing False Documents

If the applicant provides false statement or furnish the EPF with forged documents, the applicant is deemed as having
committed an offence and shall, upon conviction, be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or a fine
not exceeding RM10,000.00 or both [Section 59, EPF Act 1991 (Amendment) 2007].
