General aims:
To introduce themselves
To greet others
To develop communication during class.
To arouse the pupils' interest and curiosity.
To give Ss the opportunity to use language in private, face-to-face interaction.

Specific aims:
By the end of the activity, students will be able to:
A1. introduce themselves using the structures: Hi! I'm.../ I am; My name is...
A2. greet others using: Hello! Good morning! Good afternoon! Good evening! Good-bye!
A3. act out dialogues using toys.

Methods and strategies: conversation, role-play, repetition.


Grouping and seating: whole-class teaching, individual, in pairs.
Interactions: T-Ss, Ss-T, S-S, T-P.
Assumption: while working in pairs, students can be noisy; some may be more passive.

Predicted problems and possible solutions:
