MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL SYSTEMS (SLG & SRG)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Elements & Location

ƒ The Management and Control Systems are usually composed of two

equipment types called SLG and SRG systems.
ƒ The SLG system is located in a local station, close to the Radar System,
and it is connected to the LANs of the Radar Site.
ƒ The SRG system is located in a remote station and it is connected to the
LANs of the remote station which are different to the Radar Site’s LANs.
ƒ Both systems allow to manage and/or supervise all the elements of a
Radar Station from user interface machines.

MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL SYSTEMS (SLG & SRG)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Functional Description

ƒ The Management and Control System depends on where they are placed:
ƒ Local Management & Control (SLG) System
ƒ Remote Management & Control (SRG) System
ƒ Both systems are used to monitor the state of the different subsystems that
compose the Surveillance Site.
ƒ A user can supervise the subsystems working current state from either
SLG or SRG equipment, but only will be able to introduce changes from
one equipment in each moment.
ƒ The SLG equipment is located in the local station and connected to the

Doc. Nº: 0065710000000MA05

same local LAN.

Edition: 1 Revision: 0
ƒ The SRG equipment is located in the remote stations, and connected to

Date: 01/03/2010
the remote LAN.
ƒ The communication between SLG and SRG equipments is achieved by
means of the Radar Communication System. 10

OPERATION
Configuring the Radar System

ƒ A user must firstly take the control of the Radar System from one
SLG or SRG equipment, entering a user name, and a password in the
application window associated to the subsystem which is needed to
control.

ƒ The user name and password must be configured for each user, and
its password should be unique.
ƒ There are five profile levels, ranging from 0 to 4, which determine the
user power to modify all, some or none of the parameters, according
to the accessed profile level.

Doc. Nº: 0065710000000MA05

ƒ The level 0 is the lower level and no parameters can be modified.

Edition: 1 Revision: 0
ƒ The level 4 is the higher level and all the parameters can be modified.

Date: 01/03/2010
ƒ The others are intermediate levels and their modification parameters must be
set before.

ƒ The customer can choose the list of the users/passwords. 33
