Sometimes, I have a feeling of apprehension whether

I consider myself a Filipino. Do-It-Right Pinoy

Sometimes, I have a feeling of apprehension whether

I consider myself a Filipino. I don’t want to create or
make a sweeping statement that the most Pinoys are
irresponsible, self-centered, immature, uncaring and
lastly, stupid.

So many of us are unconcerned of what is happening

around. We are hard-headed and don’t want to learn
something out of the misery of the past.

Just imagine who that person was that had thrown

his garbage on the street canals, rivers, floodways,
estero, anywhere. When in fact, he could easily place
them all in his waste bin. Is this the kind of person in his
right frame of mind?

More importantly, is this the person who is growing of age

as a responsible citizen of this country? He should be
matured enough to know and learn the disastrous effect
of indiscriminate littering of garbage.

I guess, he very well perceived the main cause of flooding

when it rains heavily?
Herewith, this is not the right forum for me to elaborate
more or elucidate further of the so many ills of Filipino
society due to our own stupidity and inutile or
dysfunctional state of mind.

The Philippines had a rambunctious press but it did
not check corruption of government elected
politicians & officials and offices like LTO, BIR, BOC,
pending projects of DPWH and LGU. Individual
pressmen could be bought, as could many judges.
Something had gone seriously wrong.

Discussions in the Philippines are mostly filled with

polemical (controversial) sophistry (dishonesty) and
showbiz tsismis & scandals often focused on
insignificant and irrelevant concerns.

We SHOULD have often focused on the most

practical and most important points for the country's
best economic, political, technological interest &
advancements.

So many ills of Filipino society due to our own

stupidity and inutile or dysfunctional state of mind.

When will we achieve a model society composed of

renewed Filipinos in terms of intelligence and good
moral values? This is ideal, however, this will never
happen at all. Sorry to say this because we are
doomed to be insensitive to be leaning towards the
path of perfection.
