CLARIFICATION REQUEST REGARDS DCS & MMS CONFIG:

1. MMS to DCS Request and Response Period?

- Request Per 1 Hour, 231 Tag

2. MMS to DCS Virus access Possible or not? How about Virus update on MMS? Antivirus Validity
Period which is installed on MMS?
- V3 (http://ahnlab.com) Installed.
- Licensed to Three Years (After that, license purchase is required).
- Manual Update file download : Yes
(http://global.ahnlab.com/en/site/download/engine/engineList.do)

3. In DCS, is there any firewall available for MMS?

-> Honeywell : There is no firewall available for MMS.
- As far as I Know, No Firewall.

4. MMS to DCS, other than OPC request should not access/ read/Write any files/Shared Folder
on DCS. Is this Possible to do that in DCS as well as in MMS? How? Please explain in detail.
-> (DCS) To access OPC data, only “mngr” account is opened for the MMS and able to
access all data in DCS server with “mngr” account.
- (MMS) Network Access of Shared Folder in MMS Server is denied by default.

5. What are the Login accounts will available in MMS server & MMS Clients. And Account
restrictions details. Please explain in Details.
- mngr account will be configured to Custom Permission group 'OPC_CLIENT'. which
can not log in to system remotely (through network) by user (but mngr account can
access in front of Local MMS Server).

6. In DCS, After Power restart of DCS system, Is there any setting need to
configure/assign/set regarding for MMS? Or it will restart communication with MMS by
automatically?
- No, Have to log in to MMS Server and restart 'OPC Data Logger' Software.

7. In case of Power failure/Manual switch over of Primary server in DCS, As our knowledge DCS
Redundancy server will take care of primary job. So operation side will not affect. How about
MMS? In case of Primary servers (Either ROSVR01A/ROSVR02A) not avail what is the MMS action?
How we can normalize MMS?
- Because of MMS Server does not have OPC Reduncy functionality, 'OPC Data Logger'
Software needs to be reconfigured.
- But the reconfiguration procedure is very simple (change OPC Server from dropdown
list, and restart software).

8. By the time of MMS Server setting change because of DCS server change over, what’s the
condition of MMS Clients? Before and after restart of MMS, Data which is saved on MMS will
not erase?
- If Tag from DCS Server disappear, OPC software in MMS Will Stop (needs to be
reconfigure the Tag).
- Data is stored in Database (MS-SQL), so it will not be ereased.

9. How can we check the performance of DCS by connecting with MMS? Is there any affect
Performance of DCS Sever by the access of MMS?
-> Please check the physical CPU and memory usage before start OPC communication and
after.

10. In DCS, In case of connected Port not working due to Power failure of particular network
switch or some other reason (At present connected on Port-37 of Network switch ROSW02B), can
we connect on another Port (which is already configured on Port-37 of Network switch
ROSW02A)? If possible means is there need to change any settings on DCS server or MMS server?
-> (DCS) As I know someone requested to open only 2 ports for MMS which are 37 and 38.
Please reconnect the cable to port 38 if port 37 is not working.

If both 37 and 38 ports are not working properly, other ports to be opened.
- (MMS) Reconfiguration of OPC Server will be needed if OPC Redundency changes (ex.
ROSW02A to ROSW02B), because 'OPC Server' in MMS Server does not have redundency
functionality. (Same answer of Question No.7)

11. Request for Honeywell: Please provide final Network addresses which is assigned on DCS
regard with MMS clients and server in detail.
-> HoneyWell

12. In DCS, How we can stop access of MMS to DCS? Because during annual maintenance period,
we will shutdown entire DCS system and will restart again. After Power restart of DCS, by
default all TOTA value will become zero. After that we will manually enter previous TOTA
value to each TOTA. In the mean time we have to stop access of MMS to DCS. After update
everything & if OK means we can give permission to access MMS to DCS.
-> There are few ways to do as below; (the best way is number 3)

1. Disconnect the LAN cable from the switch.

2. Stop OPC service then restart.
3. Stop requesting from the MMS.

13. What is the procedure to Shutdown and restart of MMS Server & MMS Clients? Please Provide
and demonstrate in detail. In which order shutdown & restart like that.
- You don't have to mannually turn off programs when shutdown is required.
- But OPC Client ('OPC Data Logger') Should Turned on when Windows Server is on
after shutdown.
- Just Shutdown And Start Windows OS (Windows 2008 SVR R2) with Windows
Admistrator Account.

14. Because of MMS Integration with DCS, Is there any change of Shutdown & restart Procedure
in DCS? Or same like before?
- OPC communication doesn’t cause the server shutdown.

15. In future, if any TOTA will add on DCS means, how can we configure on MMS if that newly
added has required means?
- MMS OPC Client Configuration Manual Will be provided.

16. In MMS, How can we take backup of entire system (Include settings/ Configure/ Data/
whatever)? In case of failure we have to recover back, for that only.
- MMS Backup Manual Will be provided.
- MS-SQL, WEB Software (IIS) has to be backup priodically.

17. In MMS, Is there any time interval to take backup of Data or anything? And How?
- Weekly backup is recommended.
- At least, monthly backup is required.

18. In DCS, How can we take backup of entire system (Include settings/ Configure/ Data/
whatever)? In case of failure we have to recover, for that only.
-> Server settings and other configurations are not able to backup, only the way could be
image backup like Ghost. Or take screen capture for important settings.
All engineering database like EMDB, ERDB, QDB and Graphics are able to backup manually.
