For:

- Not all the students are same; some can grasp the
lessons quickly in the class; whereas some cant due to
various reasons like distractions, explanation gaps. Hence
they need extra support, wherein private tutors can help
them understand those important key points once again
- In recent times, the minimum number of students in each
class is 40 students and it’s easy for the kids to get
distracted by friends while chit- chatting and makes them
loose interest in studies and hence they need extra help in
terms of studies
- Children today have their attention directed towards
television, internet, games, etc. and hence tuition help
them cope up with studies as well
- Private tutors can effectively deal with weak and ‘difficult
to handle’ students, inspire them to study hard and
improve them
- In higher classes, the level of education also increases
and additional help to score better is also necessary,
specifically now when there is competition prevailing in
every field at a very young age

Against:

- It adds to the burden of the students, as they not only

receive home-works by school teachers but also from their
private tutors, hence leaving them with no or less time for
extra – curricular activities, which would help them to
refresh their mind
- Private tuitions are often expensive and cannot be paid
by all parents
- The standard of teaching in the classroom deteriorates, if
the teacher conducts private tuitions in the wake of
earning some extra bucks
- To prove the class of their private tuitions, they may
indulge in ‘practice test’ to help those students help clear
exams with distinction in schools.

Conclusion:

- Instead of banning tuitions completely, school teachers

conducting private tuitions should not engage their own
school students for the same.

RE: Tuitions should be banned -Deepa Kaushik (04/20/14)
Tuitions are assistance for the children who are not very good at
grasping at the first instance. Not every child is born with the
same intellect and grasping power. Teachers at school can cover
a topic as per the demand of the class, and it is not possible to
deal with each and every child individually, as they have the target
to complete the course material for the session.

Banning the tuitions could be a heavy loss for such kids who face
trouble in coping up with the class. Many families now-a-days
have both the parents working and they hardly get time to check
for their child’s home assignments and get them to study at
home under their supervision. Such parents definitely look out for
good tutors who could help their children absorb the portions
taught on the class.

Though there remain many students finding out good tutors for
their intellect, still a number of teachers today have made the
tuitions as a profession, to make some extra money in addition to
the pay at the school. These teachers fail to perform their duties
at school, with a tendency towards pulling those children of
private tuitions with them.

It is definitely incorrect to make money out of this noble

profession of teaching. But banning the tuitions is not a solution
to this in any way.
RE: Tuitions should be banned -shubham singhania (03/07/14)
hello friends

i would like to raise a fact that is the concept of private tuitions at

school level have degraded the quality of teachings which we
used to have.

why to account for tuition fees?

first lets have a look at whats the use of going to school and
paying hefty fees if each and every student requires private
tuitions for almost all subjects taught at senior secondary school
except language subjects.
moreover the teachers have also indulged themselves in such
unethical practises of teaching casually in school to have a bunch
of students at his home to let him earn some extra penny.
teaching once used to be a profession looked upon wirh great
dignity and respect but money as we say has ruined everything it
can.

thanks
RE: Tuitions should be banned -Shivam gupta (02/27/14)
Tuitions should not banned bcoz it will give more extra
knowledge to the student in some other feild if we guide our
student or child in the right way in which feild he/she is showing
more intrest.
RE: Tuitions should be banned -pankaj singh (02/24/14)
Tuition should not be banned because it helps the weak students
to grasp the subjects. Different students has different traits.weak
one need some extra support.
RE: Tuitions should be banned -Rajani Sharma (01/27/14)
For:
• Tuitions should be banned as it adds to the burden of the
students. As they are overloaded with the homework received by
school teachers and also from their private tutors, they get no or
less time for extra-curricular activities, which would help them
refresh their mind.

• The standard of teaching in the classroom deteriorates, if the

teacher conducts private tuitions in the wake of earning some
extra bucks.

• To prove the class of their private tuitions, they may indulge in

‘practice test’ to help those students help clear exams with
distinction in schools.

• Private tuitions are often very expensive and cannot be beard by

all parents.

• A private teacher generally has a dual role to play that of a

teacher and of a course administrator for conducting tests,
assessments, scheduling and other activities, making it difficult
for him or her to do justice to either role.

• In a private tuition, a student's exposure to the actual real world

competition is limited. And it is very often seen, that students
scoring well in tuitions doesn’t fare well in actual examinations.

• In a private tuition the student is dependent on just one teacher

who may be specialized in a few subjects and not all the subjects
required by the students.

• Some students treat their tutors as a walking dictionary,

expecting them to furnish answers to the homework given by
school without thinking through the solutions by themselves over
time. This can make them mentally lazy.

Against:
• Tuitions should not be banned as these help those students
who cannot grasp the lessons quickly in the class due to various
reasons like distractions, explanation gaps. Hence they need
extra support, wherein private tutors can help them understand
those important key points once again.

• In recent times, the minimum number of students in each class

is 40 students and it is not easy for a teacher to pay attention on
an individual basis.

• During classes, it’s easy for the kids to get distracted by friends
while chit- chatting and makes them loose interest in studies and
hence they need extra help in terms of studies.

• Nowadays children give their all attention to television, internet,

games, etc. and hence tuition helps them cope up with studies as
well. Allocating times for private tuition reduces their time spent
in unhealthy pursuits.

• Private tutors can effectively deal with weak and ‘difficult to

handle’ students, inspire them to study hard and improve them.

• In higher classes, the level of education also increases and

additional help to score better is also necessary, specifically now
when there is competition prevailing in every field at a very young
age.
• At tuitions, the students are given a lot of practice through tests,
homework, group assignments and others such practices. The
results are declared promptly so that the students find enough
time to work on his short comings.
