Design Theory can be understood as the plan that is done to reach a

future point from a current position by representing the plan in a


concrete manner , that which can be implemented.

Gagne-Brigg's Nine events are the following:

1)Gaining attention

2)Informing the learner of the objective

3)Stimulating recall of prerequisite learning

4)Presenting the stimulus material

5)Providing learning guidance

6)Eliciting the performance

7)Providing feedback

8)Assessing the performance

9)Enhacncing retention and transfer

Let us consider a pet adoption center training of employees. The


employees are new joinees and they need to have a comprehensive
training on safety while working in the center. All aspects of Gagne-
Briggs Nine events has to be addressed even though at different times
and need to be ensured that they are fully utilised during the
implementation of the training program.

Training strategy:

a)Training would be imparted over 2 days,4hrs each/day in class


training and 2 days , 4 hrs each/day on the field training.

b)The training would be spanned over two weeks with 1 in class


training and 1 field training to be completed each week.

c)The rest of the time the employees would be job shadowing.

d)Evaluation criteria for both in-class and field training: <10 is


considered Fair; >40 is considered satisfactory; >60 good and >90
exemplary

e)Anyone below 50 are going to be retrained through both


modules.This training modules will be conducted to the employees
after hours within a week for 3hrs/day after work so that the regular
work of employees are not disrupted.

f)Also the employees who are going to undergo retraining will not be
allowed to work directly with pets.
