Introduction ‘As the biotechnology industry grows, there is an increasing demand for advanced technologies. One example of this is the micro-manipulation of mammalian cells, which is becoming a fundamental and important technology. The PMM ( Piezo Micro Manipulator ) was developed to facilitate micromanipulation by utilizing @ rapid deformation of piezoelectric elements. This original driving method, represents ‘an improvement on conventional pipette manipulation units, such as those driven mechanically Applications Micro manipulations in embryology engineering, cell engineering, gene engineering, obstetrics and gynecology, electric physiology, nervous physiology, etc. For example; electrophysiology, neurophysiology, nuclear transfer, embryo biopsy, micro fertilization, foreign gene transfer, production of chimeras, measurement of micro potential, PMM is applicable to cells from many species, including livestock (cattle, horse, swine, sheep, goat, etc.) laboratory (rabbits, rats, hamsters, mice, etc.) poultry, plants, fishes, ete. 2.
