Sunday School Training - Harvest OPC would like to invite you


to join us for a Sunday School Teacher Training on Sat.,
September 25th, 2010. We’ll have a continental breakfast
from 8:30 to 9, and begin at 9:00 am. We plan to have several
people demonstrate teaching methods and techniques. Each will
begin by describing their style and goals and then teach from the
same passage of Scripture so we can compare techniques and
style. We anticipate finishing up at 12:30. We’ll meet at Harvest

FALL MINISTRIES AT CEDAR

Jr. High & Sr. High Youth Group – Beginning September 19th,
Cedar Youth Group will meet every 1st and 3rd Sunday in the school
gymnasium after evening worship from 6:45 to 8:15 PM for food,
fellowship and fun together. The purpose of this ministry is to
disciple youth, strengthen relationships among youth & with adults,
and to assimilate young people into the faith and life of Cedar
Church. Leaders: Bill & Deb Grysen, Paul & Diana Sprik, Steve &
Lynn Igo.

Ladies’ Bible Study – Beginning September 21st, Vivian Garen will


lead the Ladies’ Bible Study every 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 9:30 AM
to 11:00 AM at the home of Steve and Lynn Igo. The ladies will
study of a “30 Day Walk with God in the Psalms” by Nancy Lee
DeMoss. Childcare is provided through our Bible Club ministry.
Newcomers are always welcome!

LOVE, Inc. – This fall, Cedar Church will now host a Bible Study at
Love Inc each week. We meet with Love Inc. clients from 7 to 8 PM
at Hillcrest CRC in Hudsonville. The elders would like to encourage
members of Cedar to volunteer as Financial Counselors that evening
as well. For more information about training, see Pastor Steve.

Holland Rescue Mission – Cedar Church hosts a monthly worship


service every other 1st Thursday at 7 PM at the Holland Rescue
Mission. Pastor Mick Knierim will preach, and others can provide
special music and testimony. Please see Pastor Mick for more
information.

Sunday Jail Ministry - Every 5th Sunday, Cedar Church will host a
Sunday service at the Kent County Jail from 12:45 PM - 2:15 PM.
Several times a year, we will also host a service at the Ottawa County
Jail from 1:45 PM – 3:00PM. For more information, see Pastor Steve
or Elder David VanDyke.
