Part A: Group Proposal Written Report Assignment (20%)

1. This is a group assignment. In this assignment, you are expected to learn communication
skills, teamwork and critical thinking skills.

2. Form a group of 5 to 8 students.

3. You will be performing ONE (1) performance that related to the theme:
INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL NIGHT 2018.

4. The proposal report should include:

a. Introduction on arts and cultural performance
b. Introduction on the culture chosen by the group
c. Introduction on the type of performance chosen by the group
d. Objective of the performance
e. Group organization chart and responsibilities of each member
f. Gantt Chart
g. Tentative budget
h. Any extra information, if necessary
i. Conclusion
j. Appendix

5. The group written report should not less than 10 pages and not more than 20 pages

Part B: Individual Proposal Presentation (10%)

1. This is an individual assignment. In this assignment, you are expected to learn teamwork
and presentation skills.

2. Proposal presentation should be done in Microsoft Power Point. Presentation should be

around 10 - 15 minutes per group.

3. The PowerPoint slides should be submitted in hard-copy before presentation. Also, each
slide should indicate the name of presenter. Failure to do so will affect the marks of the
presentation.

4. Each group shall provide the marking scheme for each presenter. Please indicate the
presenter’s name, student ID, faculty and group’s name.

5. The presentation shall be presented not later than week 4.

Assignment 2: Group Presentation/Project (20%)

1. Students will perform their performances in Week 10. Each performance will be given 4 - 6
minutes.

2. Make sure that equal role is assigned to every member in the group.

3. Appropriate props such as clothes, scenery, makeup and etc. shall be included in the
performance in order to provide better understanding to the audiences towards the selected
performance title.

4. Ignorance is no excuse. If you miss your turn, you will miss your opportunity to present.
There will be no second chance.

Assignment 3: Reflection (50%)

Part A: Group Post-Mortem Critical Evaluation Report (20%)

1. This is a group assignment. In this assignment, you are expected to learn teamwork,
leadership, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

2. The post-mortem report should include:

a. Project introduction
b. Process of entire project including preparation
c. Final budget
d. Analysis on the success of the event (successful/failure)
e. Problems encountered on the entire project
f. Recommendations to improvise the event
g. Experience/knowledge gained from the project (group based)
h. Conclusion

1. This is an individual assignment. In this assignment, you are expected to learn critical
thinking skills.

2. Students are required to write a reflection report on the experience and knowledge gained
throughout the entire project, including project preparation and activity attended as
stated in no. (3).

3. Students are also required to claim 15 USSDC points from any components by attending
any activity(s) which is carried out by:
a. Department of Soft Skills Competency (DSSC)
b. Department of Student Affairs (DSA), or
c. Centre of Extension Education (CEE)

4. The written report should not less than 3 pages and not more than 5 pages (excluding cover
page and attachments).

Part D: Peer Evaluation-Individual Assignment (5%)

1. This is an individual assignment. In this assignment, you are expected to learn critical
thinking skills.

2. This assignment will be conducted in the last week/class of lecture.

3. Students will assess their core group members’ performance and participation based on the
peer evaluation rubric provided.

4. Please be honest in the evaluation, rewarding someone who did not fully participate is not
fair to the group neither penalizing someone for having personal issues with you.

5. Marking scheme should be provided by the individual. Kindly print in duplex

(double-sided).

6. Group leaders shall compile the peer evaluations from all members and submit to the
lecturer.
