Some Greek Catholics also
celebrate on January 7th.

In Armenia, the Apostolic

Church celebrates Christmas
on January 6th. It also
celebrates 'Epiphany' on this
day.
What people Most people do not necessarily
wear. wear special costumes or
clothes for Christmas
celebrations--although in some
countries they might. However,
because the entire Christmas
season is a time of celebration,
many people go to special
family parties or spend time
with friends and may dress up
more than usual.
On Christmas day, if people are
at home or in their family
context, many will just wear
comfortable clothes while they
open presents and spend time
together.
The good news is that we never
have to wear special costumes
to celebrate the Savior. Some
of the first people to worship
Jesus were shepherds. They
were not rich. They didn`t have
fancy clothes. They came to
Him in their dirty, scruff,
raggedy clothes. We to can
come to worship Jesus today,
Christmas day, or any time
dressed in our ordinary clothes.
He accepts us as we are.
What people do. In Colombia, the beginning of
the celebration of Christmas
becomes official with the night
of the candles, which takes
place on December 7, the eve
of the religious feast of the
Immaculate Conception of
Mary. On this date, families
gather to light a large number
of candles or lanterns in front of
houses and, in this way, chart
the way for the Virgin Mary to
bless their homes.
In addition, the streets are filled
with lights and the most famous
lights of cities like Bogotá,
Medellín and Cali create a
colorful party at night, with
pyrotechnic shows that attract
visitors from all regions of the
country and the world.
Christmas in Colombia is a
great holiday, it is time for
family reunion and reunion; Is a
special time to express
affection, to share with friends
and, of course, to pray the
Novena de Aguinaldos.
For nine days, gathered around

Colombians pray, sing carols,
enjoy the joy of the holidays
and share with the little ones

greet and exchange cards, it's
the occasion to catch up with
friends and family. It is also the
time of preparation and
anticipation. Many days are
spent decorating the house,
cooking, thinking about gifts for
everyone. Making gifts can be a
real art. Some like to choose
very carefully the appropriate
gift for the person they love.
