Weekly, I attended Mrs. Nicholson’s fourth grade classroom in Albemarle County Public Schools,
where I was able to observe and participate in literacy stations and mathematics rotations. I wrote
five lesson plans to be implemented over the semester, including two video recorded full lesson
plans.
Meriwether Lewis Elementary School | Kathryn DeAtley | September 2016- December 2016
I assisted Ms. DeAtley weekly in her kindergarten classroom. Primarily this involved participating in
Morning Meeting and literacy block as well as behavior management and implementing my own
lesson plans periodically.

Through my Curry 3881 field experience, I visited one student at Venable Elementary in

Young Life Leader | Cave Spring High School | August 2013- May 2015
As a volunteer leader for the Christian organization Young Life, I planned and implemented Bible
study lessons, spent time with high schoolers, and helped plan and host weekly clubs with the
students.
Teacher Aid | Hidden Valley High School | August 2011- May 2012
As a teacher aid in an Earth Science classroom, I had the opportunity to assist in lesson planning,
preparing materials each day, and grading papers.
Nanny | Summers 2012-2017
Each summer, I have worked full time as nanny for 3 young children. For the past three summers,
this has included assisting each child in 3-4 hours of school work and tutoring per week.
