Starting from Pre-Nursery and going up to O-Levels, AMI School students are encouraged to learn, grow
and develop in an inclusive & progressive nurturing environment.

Pre-Nursery students can attain admission any time of the year, subject to availability of the seat, while
induction for nursery classes and above starts in the first quarter of the year.

For the upcoming academic session 2018-19 (starting from August 2018) the admissions will be open from
29th Jan to 30th April’2018.

As we believe in upholding only the highest standard of education provision, classes have a predetermined
upper-limit and in case the limit has been met for that year the child shall be placed in the waiting list.

Following is the step by step detailed admission process for your information. For any further clarification,

1. Registration
a. Filing out the Application form is the first step in starting your child’s admission process
with AMI School. The form is available at our Admission Office and for your ease it can also
be downloaded by clicking on The Application Form (hyper link for download)
i. The form is self-explanatory but in case you need assistance feel free to contact
the Admission office
 The class for which the child is tested is determined according to the
child's age as on 1st August, as per following table:

Nursery 2.6 yrs – 3.5 yrs
K.G I 3.6 yrs – 4.5 yrs
K.G II 4.6 yrs – 5.5 yrs
Class I 5.6 yrs – 6.5 yrs
Class II 6.6 yrs – 7.5 yrs
Class III 7.6 yrs – 8.5 yrs
Class IV 8.6 yrs – 9.5 yrs
Class V 9.6 yrs – 10.5 yrs
Class VI 10.6 yrs – 11.5 yrs
Class VII 11.6 yrs – 12.5 yrs
Class VIII 12.6 yrs – 13.5 yrs
Class IX 13.6 yrs – 14.5 yrs
O-I 14.6 yrs - 15.5 yrs
O-II 15.6 yrs – 16.5 yrs

ii. The duly filled form needs to be submitted to the admission office complete with
all of the following:
 A registration fee of Rs.2000/-
 Required list of documents:
a. 2 recent passport size photographs of the child
b. 1 recent passport size photograph of each parent
c. A copy of the child’s birth certificate
d. CNIC copies of both the parents
e. A copy of the child’s school leaving certificate /Report cards for
the last three years/transfer certificate (whichever is applicable)
f. Relevant medical reports of the child in case of any perceived
disability
b. Submission of all of the above mentioned documents will secure your child’s registration
in the admission process and on meeting the criteria after assessment the following will be
provided to you
i. An appointment date for the Entrance test. (according to the class your child is
applying for)
ii. Receipt for registration fees.
iii. The AMI School Perspective
c. It is important to note here that registration does not in any way confirm or guarantee
your child’s admission. Admission is subject to passing the admission criteria and on the
availability of seats.

2. Child’s Assessment
a. With respect to the Entrance test, all of the following should be noted carefully:
i. Pre-Nursery and Nursery students are exempted from the Entrance test.
ii. KG I students are assessed on the basis of their behavior and speech before an
interview can be scheduled
iii. Students applying for admissions in KG II and onwards are required to appear for
the entrance test
iv. The entrance test includes sections on Maths, English & Urdu.
v. Important details to be noted:
 The duration of the test is 30 minutes
 The child is expected to appear for the test appropriately equipped with
the required stationary
 Parents will be notified about the result within five working days after the
test
3. Family Interview
a. On passing the Entrance test the family will be provided with an interview appointment.
b. Both the parents and the child must be present at the Interview; in the absence of either
the interview will not be conducted.
c. The admission office will contact the family and apprise them of the final result by call
within seven working days after the interview;
i. Please note that the decision of the school is final
4. Enrollment
a. On successfully clearing the Admission criteria the parents will be provided with the
admission related procedures which they will have to fulfill in the specified time
i. Parents will be provided with the admission fee challan by the Admissions Office.
ii. The payment for the same can be made in either cash, cheque or pay order to the
Accounts Office within 3 working days of the issuance of the challan
iii. The fee challan includes all of the following:
 Admission Fees (non-refundable)
 Security Deposit (Refundable as per policy signed by parents)
 Tuition fees & charges (for 3 months)
iv. On payment of the challan a receipt will be issued by the Accounts Department
v. Against the receipt, the Admission form will be issued by the Admissions Office
vi. The Admission form is to be filled at the school premises and needs to include all
of the following:
 6 recent passport size photographs of child
 2 recent passport size photographs of each parent
 2 recent passport size photographs of the person authorized to pick and
drop the child other than the parents
 CNIC copy of the person authorized to pick and drop the child other than
the parents
b. Confirmation of Admission is subject to receipt of Admission Confirmation Letter
c. The child is permitted to attend classes only after receiving the Admission Confirmation
Letter from the Accounts Office along with the expected joining date.
5. Additional Fee Related Information for parents:
 The payment is to be deposited at designated branches of The Habib Metropolitan Bank once
the fee challan has been issued.
 Any fees unpaid till after the due date is subject to late payment charges
 Any fees outstanding till after the second month of fee challan issuance will result in
cancellation of admission, in which case the security deposit will not be refunded to adjust the
outstanding fees, late charges and any other outstanding charges.
 The fees structure is subject to an annual review
 Sibling, staff and armed forces discounts are available; The Admissions Department should be
contacted in case this applies to the child.
