I. Objectives
Determine the working application of a hydraulic hoisting.
Familiarization of the components or equipment of a circuit diagram
Design and draw a circuit diagram for a hydraulic hoist and how its
mechanism of safety works
Benefits of learning the basic concept of a hydraulic hoist.
II. Introduction
electrically or pneumatically driven and may use chain, fiber or wire rope as its
lifting medium. The most familiar form is an elevator, the car of which is raised
and lowered by a hoist mechanism. Most hoists couple to their loads using
a lifting hook. The most commonly used hoist is an electrically powered chain or
wire rope type. The most common form is the familiar elevator.
Nowadays, many hoists are package hoists, built as one unit in a single
housing, generally designed for ten-year life, but the life calculation is based on an
industry standard when calculating actual life, the ratio of container length to
chassis length is a factor in achieving rated load capacity. This ratio determines
the load angle, and all hook lift hoist systems indicate a recommended range of
body lengths, typically 3–5 ft (914–1,524 mm) difference in length between the
container and the chassis. Container bodies shorter than the recommended length
produce substantially steeper load angles, and consequently lower load rating,
than those of the longest bodies intended for use with a particular hoist.
III. Application
A hydraulic cylinder is used to raise and lower work pieces of varying
weight from a roller track to an inspection station. The extend speed will be half
that of the retract speed. Each work-piece must pass the sensor used for the
Pressure Gauge
Double Acting Cylinder – a cylinder that has a two port at each end by
moving the piston in a extend and retract action
4/2 Way Hand Lever Valve – Is used for the control of hydraulic flow rates
and is actuated manually. Also, it acts as the lever that makes the double
acting cylinder extend and retract. Used for the control of volumetric flow
rates, this valve is actuated manually and engages in three positions.
Characteristic of this valve, apart from its method of actuation, is that port P
and T are connected in the mid-position.
Shut Off Valve – a valve where the oil flows regulate; it has a switch where it
can be off.
1.) Lay out the different sizes of hose to be use in the experiment. And even
3.) Make sure the hose of the pneumatic circuits is snog and tight for safety
purposes.
4.) Connect the A port of the 4/2 control valve in the port of the hydraulic
pump cylinder.
5.) Apply the previous component such as 4/2-way lever the four ports in
the pressure gauge and connect it to the port P of the 4/2 way hand lever
6.) Connect the return port of the 4/2-way valve to the A port of the two-way
flow control valve.
7.) Connect the return port of the pressure relief valve to the return port of
the hydraulic pump. Turn the switch on. Then, control the motion of the
piston cylinder using the two-way flow control valve.

IX. Evaluation
Hoist using a 4/2-way hand lever valve and 2/way control The components
double acting cylinder, 4/2-way hand lever valve, 2-way control valve
pressure relief valve, shut off valve and etc. the mechanism works which
the double acting cylinder is only operated when the 4/2 way hand lever
valve is used to be the direction motion of the piston cylinder moving the
lever to the right makes the piston initial motion to go forward and when
retracts backward moving the lever to the left, the two wat flow control valve

XII. Conclusion
it limits the motion to one direction only moving in a horizontal axis or vertical
axis with the use of the hydraulic system it easy set up the hoisting that
moves forward when the system is turned on and goes backward when the
leer is triggered. And they designed the system with an adjust function,
hoisting
