.Introduction

-Aniline point for hydrocarbon or petroleum its mean we Have

Aromatic in the fule because aniline point contain Aromatic
compound us we said in the Lab aniline point solve in aromatic not
in paraffin because aniline point reacting with aromatic in the oil
or any crudeoil we found less amount of aromatic and in the oil or
crude oil we have anther type of hydrocarbon alot of we found
paraffin in that crude oil ah when we see paraffin or big amount of
paraffin its me we have less aromatic becase when the aniline point
is higher we found less amount of aromatic and less amount of
aromatic mean big amount of paraffin and if we say aromatic its
men penzene because brnzene is number one aromatic in any place
if anyone say aromatic its me benzene. As we said aniline point is
aromatic compound but aromatic have very low aniline point in
comparison with paraffins. Determination of aniline point is a test
to evaluate base oils that are used in oil mud. The test indicates if
oil is likely to both aniline and diesel become completely miscible.
The aniline point of diesel was found at the temperature of 75°C.
damage elastomers that come in contact with the oil. And that
point is called the "aniline point ," which is the lowest temperature
(°F or °C) at which equal volumes of aniline and the oil form a
one phase.. in general oils with a high aromatic content are more
detrimental to rubber products than those with a low aromatic
content. The relative aromatic content of an oil is indicated by its
aniline point and oils with a high aromatic content have a low
aniline point .

.objective : Determination of aniline point of given sample .

.Aniline point
-A aniline point for diesel was75 Equal volumes of aniline and
diesel oil are stirred continuously in a test tube and heated until
the two merge into a homogeneous solution. Heating is stopped
and the tube is allowed to cool. The temperature at which the two
phases separate out is recorded as aniline point and aniline is
heavy than diesel and the aniline come to down and diesel up
when started the experiment and when we cold or come back
form one face to tow face.

-A lowest temperature at which oil is completely miscible Equal

volume of Aniline it told Aniline point

-Higher Aniline point its mean low Aromatic And Higher paraffin
content

-Aniline point is aromatic compound and Aromatic is more

miscible in aniline point than paraffin
.Materials can by used found aniline point
1-Test tube .approximately 25mm in diameter and 150mm in
length , made of heat resistant glass.

2- stirrer. Manually operated . Metal . approximately 2mm in

diameter.

Test sample Aniline point, C

kerosene 70

Diesel 75

F for diesel = 32 + (1.8 *C) . F for kerosene =32 +

(1.8 * C )
= 32 + (1.8 * 75 ) . = 32 + (1.8 * 70 )
= 32+135 . = 32 + 126
=167 . = 158

Discussions
1-why the aniline point gives an indication of composition
of the sample?
A. Because if you say aniline point is mean aniline with
aromatic hydrocarbon because aniline its aromatic for that
reason aniline solve with aromatic hydrocarbon no with
paraffin and its mean when they got aniline point we know
the type of crude oil if we have many of paraffin and
hydrocarbon or the crude oil have aromatic more than crude
oil and we need paraffin or alkan more than aromatic for
used in our live.

2-what is the significance of the aniline point test?

Aniline point is defined as the minimum temperature at which
equal volumes of anhydrous aniline and oil mix together. Aniline
being an aromatic compound freely mixes with aromatic so a low
aniline point indicates low diesel index (because of high
percentage of aromatics). Significance: High aniline point
indicates that the fuel is highly paraffinic and hence has a high
Diesel index and very good ignition quality. In case of aromatics
the aniline point is low and the ignition quality is poor. This test
is useful for calculating Diesel Index .
