Royal Building Products is currently recruiting for a Specification Engineer, Pipe, Eastern Canada.

JOB SUMMARY Responsible for working with our sales force and customers to identify and specify Royal PVC Pipe & Fittings with
municipalities in Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. This position will interface with sales, product development, quality control,
manufacturing and others to ensure Royal products are properly positioned in the market/municipalities in partnership with our
customers across central and Maritime Canada. This role also supports our sales efforts in the field with customers who require
greater technical understanding of our product applications as well as proper installation procedures. The position is also
responsible for warranty claim investigations within the specified region and advising senior management as to the correct
disposition of these claims.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Sales Territory Managers to identify and achieve pre-approval for our products in each sales territory
Develop and maintain product approvals database for all municipalities/regions/towns for current and upcoming projects
Help Sales present new products to municipalities, consultants and contractors
Gather market intelligence for the sales teams to improve sales prospecting for large jobs entering the tendering process
Deliver presentations to consulting and municipal engineers
Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities and consulting engineers
Submit weekly call report and rolling 4 week visit schedule to Manager
As required, participate in new product development projects
Provide sales staff with technical support for their territory
Attend periodic technical conferences and be a part of any industry technical committees as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree in Civil engineering from a recognized program

1-4 years’ relevant experience in sales technical support and/or engineering design of civil projects. We will also
consider new engineering graduates provided you offer co-op or summer work experience from the water supply
or treatment industry
A professional engineering designation (P..Eng.) is a preferred qualification. We will consider candidates who can
 demonstrate they are actively working toward designation with completion expected in the immediate future
