8 ADJUSTMENT OF SHOE TO SHOE CLEARANCE

Step Action IllustrationNote

1 Prime the rope gripper with hand or electric
pump (if not primed earlier).
Electric pump (1), models 620 - 625:
Set the valve to automatic. Turn the test
switch ON.

Hand pump (2), model 626:

Turn the test switch OFF. Set the valve to
manual. Stop pumping the hand pump when
the brake ready microswitch clicks.
Push down the valve and turn the test switch
ON.

Hand pump, model 618:

Set the pump valve lever in UP position.
Stop pumping the hand pump when the
brake ready microswitch clicks.
Set the pump valve lever back in DOWN
position.
