Step Action Note/Illustration

2 Screw in the security set screws (A) (2 pcs.).

3 Measure the groove depth in the middle of

the lining. Check overall condition of the
friction material.
If the groove depth is more than 5 mm or the
friction material is oily or visibly damaged,
replace the shoes. Refer to AS-04.08.090.
4 Release the security set screws. Turn the test switch or the control panel main
Trip the brake. switch OFF.
5 If the groove depth is less than 5 mm, but
the rotating shaft moves to max. 6 mm
distance from upper end of cam, add shim
plates between the block and the movable
shoe. See section 8.
NOTE! There is a risk that excessive wear
switch activates if some further
wear occurs.
