Dear Engr. Daculan:
A pleasant day to you sir!
Last Monday, the last group presented their skit to the class. As usual, they did their best to deserve the price and honestly, I find their performance pretty entertaining. They showed us different situations and what to do during a flood as a result of typhoon. The message may not that very clear because it is in a form of a skit which tend to be a comedy. There are also times that the play would mislead us, nevertheless the overall performance was excellent and their efforts are worth it. Moving on, the next discussion was about sound and ultraviolet lights that the sun produces. I learned many things in the discussion particularly about the danger of light (UV light) to us. I also learned that there are different appropriate colors of sunglasses for different jobs. I was somehow amazed because I thought that the colors are just mere design and has nothing to do in blocking particular wavelengths. Another thing is that UV light could harm our skin even without us noticing it. Based from the video we watched in the class, people thought that they have a healthy skin but when they saw it on the monitor, the real status of their skin using an ultraviolet sensitive camera they somehow know the danger UV light produces. Sunscreen is very useful especially that we are on a country where the sun stalks us everyday. The sun loves our country that is why he would never leave our side. Another topic is the effect of light on our eyes. The placement of the light must be correct to avoid stress on our eyes which could speed up eyes age. I agree that wrong placement of light could strain our eyes because I, myself experience it everynight. Our room’s light is not correctly placed thus it creates glare which make my eyes strain. Last topic was about the effects of loud sounds on our ears. I was interested about it because sound never failed to amaze me, and it gives us life which is in a form of music.
Sincerely Yours,
