Interstellar
Interstellar is a film of science fiction, which is located in the future where the
Earth is running out of food and science has gone into the background, that is why the
farmers are the most needy, so that the human race. But there is Captain Cooper, a former
engineer from NASA, who never gave up on his dream of traveling through space, but in
those times it was impossible because nobody was interested in space, only survive. But
Cooper never lost faith that he would piloted a spaceship, with that thesis, the film takes
its way, before an incredible movie where he has physical theories, which have been
proven and have a large field of study today.
Secondary sidekicks, like Cooper's daughter, Moore, an intelligent girl, realizes
that in her room there is a ghost, so no one believed her, until Cooper enters his room and
watches as space-time deforms, giving it coordinates to an unknown place, in Morse code.
Cooper for his military training, can read the coordinates and ventures to go to that place
with his daughter Moore. Upon arriving they are surprised that it is a barracks of NASA,
which was kept secret and where was the next and last mission of Cooper.
In that place he meets his old colleague, Professor Brand, a physicist of particles,
who proposes that he travel to space along with the ENDURANCE, the most modern
spaceship. The daughter of Professor Brand Amelia, explains that in 30 years the food
will end, the wheat will be extinguished and in the same way the human race, but there is
a way to save them all. Make a trip without return to a wormhole, close of Saturn, which
will take them to another Galaxy with life possibilities. But the problem is that thanks to
the laws of Einstein, of general relativity, time passes differently, than on earth, that's why
minutes in the other galaxy are years on planet Earth. But knowing that, Cooper takes
command of the Endurance, and travels with his crew to Gargantua, the great wormhole.
The crew consists of Cooper, the robots TARS and CASE, and the scientists Dr.
Amelia Brand (Professor Brand's daughter), Romilly, and Doyle. After traversing the
wormhole, Cooper, Doyle, and Brand use a lander to investigate Miller's planet, where
time is severely dilated. After landing in knee-high water and finding only wreckage from
Miller's expedition, a gigantic tidal wave waterlogs the lander's engines, killing Doyle in
the process. By the time the engines restart, Cooper and Brand discover that 23 years have
elapsed on the Endurance. Having enough fuel for only one of the other two planets, they
vote to go to Mann's, as he is still broadcasting. En route, they receive messages from
Earth. Murphy Cooper is now a scientist working on Plan A. On his deathbed, Professor
Brand revealed to her that Plan B was his only real plan, knowing that Plan A was not
feasible without observations of gravitational singularities from within a black hole.
With insufficient fuel, they resort to a sling around Gargantua. In the process,
Cooper and TARS must discard their landers to allow Brand and CASE to reach the planet
Edmunds. When falling in the horizon of events of Gargantua, they are ejected from their
ship and are in a tesseract, possibly built by humans in the distant future. Cooper can see
through the shelves of Murphy's room on Earth, through time, and interact weakly with
his gravity. I realized that now is (and was) the "ghost" of Murphy. I used the Morse code
to manipulate the second hand of the wristwatch he gave her before she left, and I
provided Murphy with the quantum data compiled by TARS, which she needs to solve
Professor Brand's gravitational equations. Then Cooper wakes up in a huge station with
his daughter, now an elderly woman close to death, who was able to develop the theory
of gravitational propulsion.
