and advocacy. YUWA aims to enhance socially responsible, economically active, politically
aware and technologically sound youths.
“YUWA envisions a situation wherein youths, as indispensable change makers, are valued

Objectives
Activities
The interns of YUWA firstly discussed about the entire pre-plan of event and location. After
productive discussion, the interns finalized the event date and the school where the
accumulated funds would go for underprivileged children via distribution of warm sweaters.
After the preparation of the Proposal, the interns of YUWA went to seek for sponsorship
in varied areas of Kathmandu Valley. Through the Sponsorship, the interns of YUWA
accumulated Nepali Rupees. Rs. 60000/-.
Had a small training with Mr. Sabin Rimal (event manager of Nepal Music Festival) about
the event
The interns of YUWA had taken the initiative to organize the event, Balbalika Ka Lagi
YUWA and the interns were in a hassle and confusion in the pre-planning phase. So,
YUWA’s alumni and Event Manager of Nepal Music Festival Mr. Sabin Rimal mentored
the interns to management of the event.
Musical Event at Sports hive- 13th Jan, 2018
On 13th January, 2018 Balbalika Ka Lagi YUWA event was organized at Sport Hive.
Almost one thousand visitors were present in the event. The program was successfully
and fruitfully conducted.
After completion of the event the interns of YUWA had worked for the management of
sweaters. The interns bought 245 Sweaters for the needy children.
On 26th January, 2018 the interns of YUWA went to Maikaibari, Dolakha District to
distribute warm sweaters for the needy children in Kudtidada School. The interns
distributed 245 Sweaters.
Around 700 people were present at the formal program inclusive of parents, teachers,
students, local ward president, and other government stakeholders. During the program
Mr. Saurya Dhungel spoke about YUWA and its objectives, vision and mission.
Likewise, the intern of YUWA Nhujula Maharjan spoke about the short tale of Balbalika
Ka Lagi YUWA event.
Eventually, the program was successfully conducted and the school administration gave
the interns a heart-warming farewell.
4. Methodology
The interns visited the whole community to flow information about the program. They
were divided into 2 groups; 3 members in each who then visited the community. People
seem to be excited and eager to participate in the program organized by YUWA in
Kutidada Secondary School.
4.3 Community Overview
5. Findings
Dolakha district is covered with the hills and hard rocks. The topography has created
hindrance in the infrastructural development of this district. It costs much more financial
assets to develop this district in comparison to other nearby districts.
Illiteracy is the main cause of this district that has caused brain drain and youth migration
from the village. Dropout rate is higher here. Early marriage and seeking for employment
opportunities in other Arabian countries is dominant.
5.3Deprivation of Transportation Facilities
Though the road has already reached the village, there are no vehicles to ride. The
condition of the road is degrading day by day and is being unusable as well.
6. Challenges
Geographical landmark of the target village where the transportation facilities is very
difficult
Difficult to understand the problem of each child in school
7. Recommendation
We would like to recommend the following points for the betterment of this village and school:
More participation of the local people in the developmental issues and debate regarding
their community development
Government to implement the proper policy to address the existing problems and should
provide enough support to underprivileged children.
Conclusion
Balbalika Ka Lagi YUWA was officially ended on 28th January 2018. The program was
successfully done with good co-operation, co-ordination, proper management, good
communication and so forth. The entire members actively participated in the program. Though it
was our first event, we faced lot of challenges but such challenges helped us to become more
competent for up-coming future programs. Our event went fruitful, beneficial and productive.
