 RATIONALE:
Microprocessor is exciting and challenging, and the field is growing. To meet the
challenges of this growing technology, students should be well conversant with
microprocessor and microprocessor programming. Along with microprocessor, supporting
chips are used to provide actual applications of the microprocessor.
 OBJECTIVES :
After completing this course students will –
 Compare series of microprocessors
 Differentiate between microcontroller and microprocessors
 Understand the architecture of microcontroller 8051
 Understand the programming logic
 Work on the simulation related to microcontroller

cameras have brought about video revolution in the field of home entertainment, education,

RATIONALE : This course gives the experience about design , building, testing

and implementing the ideas while assembling new electronic circuits. This
course is an indicator of showing the details learned by students from various
courses undergone during all previous semesters.

 OBJECTIVES :
After completing this course, students will be able to:
1. Do market survey
2. Work in a team
3. Develop planning & execution skills
4. Make layout, construct, test and produce satisfactory results of
electronic circuit.
5. Prepare the report on work done.
6. Prepare and present seminar.
7. Acquire and deliver various technical aspects with confidence.
8. Prepare a project report to start an enterprise.


SKILLS :
1. Interpret recent information available in technical
magazine/journals
2. Availing Internet facility for gathering information like circuits,

datasheets etc.
3. Interpret specifications given in operational and service manual.
4. Trace the circuit diagram.
5. Interpret the circuit diagram.
6. Testing of components.
7. Use various test and measuring instruments for troubleshooting
the circuit.
8. Prepare printed circuit board.
9. Prepare a project report to start an enterprise.

3. Report Writing 08
The seminar report and project report in the specified
format should be prepared separately by the student. The
project report should contain brief abstract in the
beginning followed by Project block diagram, Circuit
3.1 diagram, working of circuit, PCB artwork, software code
if any, datasheet of important component, important
images.
It is suggested to prepare a project diary of project
activities. Make regular entries of activities undertaken

and get it signed by the guide weekly. Preferably capture


the images of different stages of project work.
At the end of project report, attach the CD containing all
raw materials collected during project work like data
sheets of all components, various images captured during
different stages of project work, relevant tutorials, circuit
ideas downloaded from internet. Also attach the final
softcopy of project report, software used and program
codes, help files if any.

Note :
1. Project can be sponsored from industries/other organization or
made in institute.
2. Depending upon the project (work) a batch of 2 to 5 should be
made for each project (i.e. Batch is decided by project guide)
