Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)

What is ART? What is the effect of Art to the people that is infertile and sterile? What is
the purpose of ART? Assisted reproductive technology (ART) is used to treat infertility. It
includes fertility treatments that handle both a woman's egg and a man's sperm. It works by
removing eggs from a woman's body. The eggs are then mixed with sperm to make embryos.
ART is also used in Philippines.

Assisted reproductive technology is used to achieve pregnancy, infertility medication, in-

vitro fertilization, and surrogacy. It gives hope to the persons cannot produce offspring. It
helps the couple to have a baby and form a family. ART has different types. The types are
Ovulation Induction (OI), Artificial Insemination, in-vitro fertilization, and others. Surrogacy is
illegal in the Philippines because in the Philippines it is considered as a sin in Christ. It is
prohibited in Philippines by the government policy. Base on my studies, the most used assisted
reproductive technology in the Philippines is ovulation induction (OI). Ovulation induction is
the stimulation of ovulation by medication. It is usually used in the sense of stimulation of the
development of ovarian follicles to reverse an ovulation or oligoovulation, but can also be
used in the sense of triggering oocyte release from relatively mature ovarian follicles. In any
case, ovarian stimulation (in the sense of stimulating the development of oocytes) is often
used in conjunction with ("strict") ovulation induction. Also, a few definitions also
include controlled ovarian hyper stimulation (stimulating the development of multiple follicles
of the ovaries in one single cycle) in the definition of ovarian stimulation. Otherwise, ovarian
hyper stimulation may still be a side effect of ovulation induction. If you take or undergo this
process, there’s a possibility that you can produce offspring. Other Pilipino couple is taking
other assisted reproductive technology process for more chances having a baby. They go to
other countries that are legal for the process of ART.

Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) is very important and very useful in the
community. It has many used to the people who cannot produce offspring. Don’t lose hope if
you cannot produce offspring because there’s many way or technology that can help you to
produce offspring.
