ADILABAD DISTRICT- BRIEF NOTES
The Telangana Drinking Water Supply Project (TDWSP) (Mission Bhagiratha) is the
flagshipprogramme of the Telangana Government on a vision to provide safe, adequate,
permanent and sustainable, water supply to rural urban and industrial areas The goal of the
project is to provide 100 lpcd clear water supply to all rural habitations,135 lpcd clear
water supply to all municipalities/nagar panchayaths,150 lpcd clear water supply to
municipal corporations

The sources for Nirmal District include SRSP,Gaddenna Vagu project for
Nirmal,Mudhole Constitieuncies respectively .

For Nirmal Constituency It is proposed to draw raw water from

Intakewell(Completed) at local velmal,Soan Mandal to 130 MLD water Treatment
Plant(Completed) at Madegaon, Dilawarpur Mandal .From water treatment plant the clear
water then flows from OHBR’s by gravity to serve 206 Habs in Nirmal Constituency.

For Mudhole Constituency It is proposed to draw raw water from

Intakewell(Completed) at Bhainsa to 50 MLD water Treatment Plant(98%Completed,will
be completed by Feb ‘18) at Bhainsa,.From water treatment plant the clear water then
flows from OHBR’s by gravity to serve 245 Habs in Mudhole Constituency.

Similarly the source for Adilabad District is SRSP Reservior.

For Adilabad &Boath Constituencies in Adilabad district It is proposed to draw raw

water from Intakewell(Completed) at Madegaon, Dilawarpur Mandal to 130 MLD water
Treatment Plant(Completed) at Madegaon, Dilawarpur Mandal,.From water treatment
plant the clear water then flows from OHBR’s by gravity to serve 250&475 Habs in
Adilabad and Boath Constituencies respectively

Progress Report: (INTRA)

The Government of Telangana is desired to improve the drinking water supply
level to all the habitations in the state in the context of newly formed state of Telangana
formation of its statehood. Accordingly, Hon'ble chief Minister of Telangana state is
instructed to construct a water supply Grid in the state of Telangana to enhance the present
water supply level from the existing 40 LPCD to 100 LPCD in the rural habitations. And also
the Hon'ble Chief Minister insisted to make provision in the proposed water Grid for
industrial water Requirement and water Requirement for Muncilpalities and Corporations
in the entire state.
