DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEMS
The OMNIAlog system is designed to be versatile and flexible.
By adding modular components to Omnialog datalogger, the system
can be configured to handle the simplest or the most complex projects.
A single logger, housed in a cabinet with multiplexer expansion boards
and a communications interface, can manage a large number of
sensors. The system is easily adapted for tunnels or dams by using
external multiplexer boxes. Such distributed systems can be connected
in a daisy chain or star configuration. Recorded data can be downloaded
to a USB memory stick or pushed to remote servers by ftp and
telecommunications. Alerts can be sent by SMS or email, and graphs
and reports can be generated on web pages for access anywhere.
APPLICATIONS FEATURES
• Tunnelling • Installation allowed in
unattended areas or hard
• Dam surveillance
environment conditions
• Structural monitoring
• Rated for wide temperature
• Mining exploration range
OMNIA_DAS_EN_02_06/2016
DAMS
AND HPP
These projects usually require many
sensors and many different types of
sensors. Instrument cables can be
terminated at MUX boxes and read with
portable readouts in the first phase. In
the second phase, the MUX boxes can
be connected by special cables to the
OMNIAlog datalogger in the control
room.
TUNNELS
AND MINES
For tunnelling applications, data
acquisition systems must be easily
reconfigured. OMNIAlog systems
offer a wide variety of communications
interfaces that are easy to change. In
addition, MUX boxes can be used as
temporary manual reading stations and
later connected to a logger.
OMNIA_DAS_EN_02_06/2016
HISTORICAL AND
CIVIL STRUCTURES
Omnia components can be installed
at any location in the structure to
collect readings from the installed
instruments. If a local LAN network
already exists, OMNIAlog can be
connected to it, creating a centralized
on-line system automatically. No other
interfaces are needed.
LANDSLIDES AND
MOBILITY
INFRASTRUCTURES
Monitoring in remote locations is
made easier by use of GPRS modems
or 3G routers. Loggers can be installed
at different locations in a landslide
area or along a railway or motorway,
collecting readings from sensors and
transmitting them to a central location
for real-time processing and alerting.
