MAGLINK I/O

Installation Instructions

1 INTRODUCTION
This document provides the installation instruction for the MAGLINK I/O system.

2 INSTALLATION STEPS
In order to permits the correct functionalities of the MAGLINK I/O, the connections to be perform are:

• The power supply input (24V)

• The RS-485 communication interface between the “MAGLINK LX” and the “MAGLINK I/O”.

The connection points are report in the following figure. The “BARRIER” board is shown:

The fuses F1, F2 and F3 could be substitute, in case of breakage, with an equivalent P/N fuse:

F1 1.6A 021601.6MXP
F2 100 mA 0216.100MXP
F3 100 mA 0216.100MXP

Installation Instructions

2.1 MAGLINK I/O OUTPUT

The MAGLINK I/O Output board, permits to expand the relays capability of the MAGLINK LX console.

In the following figure are report:

• the relays (Rx) contacts available on the front connectors

• the LEDs (LRx) used to show the relays activation

• the jumpers used to set the Normally Closed (NCx) or Normally Open (NOx) relay configuration

For Example, for the Relay n°1 :

• R1 are the “relay contacts”

• LR1 is highlighted when the Relay n°1 is activated

• A jumper positioned in

o NO1 position : the relay contacts are normally OPEN and are CLOSED if the relay is activated

o NC1 position : the relay contacts are normally CLOSED and are OPEN if the relay is activated

2.2 MAGLINK I/O INPUT

The MAGLINK I/O Input board, permits to read a “ON-OFF contact” or a “4-20mA current” signal (for
example a PLLD sensor for Pressure Line Leak Detection).

The input signals are protect towards the hazardous area

The status of these inputs are acquired and printed by the MAGLINK LX console

In the figure are report:

• The inputs (INx) signal positions on the front connectors

• The LEDs (DLx) used to visualize the input configuration:

o LED ON : the input is configured for a “4-20mA current” or “PLLD” signal

o LED OFF : the input is configured for a “ON-OFF contact” signal

The fuses F1 and F2 could be substitute in case of breakage, with an equivalent P/N fuse:

F1 100 mA 0216.100MXP
F2 100 mA 0216.100MXP
