Peace-War in Philippines

Insurgency is a revolution against the authorities. And condition of disobedience against to the
government. Terrorism can include to insurgency. Communist insurgency in the Philippines may
refer to Hukbalahap Rebellion (1942-1954) and the CPP-NPA rebellion (1969-present). There is
insurgency that happened in the Philippines like the “Tagalog Revolt” by the Spanish this is a
military conflict between the Filipinos and Spaniards authorities which resulted in the rift of the
Philippines from the Spanish. And the Moro Rebellion this is a military conflict between Muslim
Filipino revolutionary groups and the United States of the America.
CPP (Communist Party of the Philippines)-NPA (National Democratic Front) The NPA was formed
in 1971.The first act of NPA rebellion is when NPA militants threw grenades in the Manila, killing
9 people and 95 injured people. And when President Ferdinand Marcos declared the Martial law
which forced the NPA to fight for its freedom. NPA is in the list of International Terrorist in US and
EU. NPA see themselves as a protector of the powerless society that favors the rich people.
For my own opinion, I consider them as a terrorist because base of what I read and what I watched
they we’re against to our government and they’re recruiting other people by threatening the
people, by influencing them to be extremely mad to the government. And NPA is using youngster
to be part of them even they don’t know why they are fighting the government. Some of them said
that NPA would help them to have justice that they need because their family died because of the
police/governments.
Activism is the action of using active campaigning to bring about political and social change.
Communism is the philosophical, social, political and economic ideology which the ultimate goal
is the communist society. There is a Filipino writer that founded the CPP and added the elements
of Maoism he is Jose Maria Sison and since 2002 he has been classified as he supported
terrorism.
My recommendations is that government should make a move to talk to the leaders of CPP-NPA
without a riot in terrorist and military and they can talk to the terrorist and tell them to surrender
and help them to have a jobs. And the government should be more understanding and the people
of the Philippine should help the government and not to engage argue. “Peace is a road to
happiness and the future. “Peace is a road to happiness and the future. War is a road to
