1. Please confirm the model numbers of your printer before

updating the firmware.

The firmware of each model is as follows (please make sure that the
description of the model exactly corresponds with your printer):

2. Then, go to the below webpage and download the firmware

of the corresponding model:
http://sites.google.com/site/samsungdownloads1/
Unzip the file. You only need to click the right key of the mouse and to choose “unzip”.

How to update firmware to your printer?

A. Please make sure that your computer is connected to only one printer (if
there are more printers connected to your computer, please turn them off). It is
to ensure the installation of the updating programs into the specified printer
only, instead of other printers.

B. Click two times with the mouse at “download.bat” to start the upgrading
programs
After that, a black frame (see below) will pop up on the screen for about 5
seconds and then it will disappear. In the meantime, do not to turn off the
printer.

Then, the printer will start to upgrade the firmware. While updating, please
do not to turn off the printer, otherwise it will damage the printer.

At this time, the LED light of the printer will become orange light (flashing)
from green light.

3~5 minutes later, when the updating process is finished, it will become
green light again.
 START ----------------> updating (flashing) -------> 3~5 minutes later, it will
become green light again (finish)

When the updating process is finished, you can use our compatible chip on your
printer.
