Philosophy of Education

My personal goal for my future classroom is to challenge each child that walks through

the doors as all students should receive the most uplifting educational experience. I want to be

the encourager, challenger, facilitator of learning helping to create a sense of pride in themselves

changing the students spirit towards learning. The children now are the future. Each student has

the potential to be unique and special to the world giving them equal opportunity and access to

learning empowering every child with the tools they need to be successful. I will help each child

to develop their potential by believing in them showing them they are capable individuals. As a

teacher the greatest gift I can give the children is motivating them to experience repeated

learning success.

 Promote Critical Thinking

o Students should be taught to formulate appropriate questions, seek out ideas or

opinions they are not certain about.

o As a facilitator it is important to know when to lead the students and when to step

back and let them lead themselves.

o As a challenger I will teach the applications of problem solving across the

curriculum and life experiences.

 Tailor Lessons to Meet the Needs of Diverse Learners with a Wide Range of

Abilities

o Students have various cognitive abilities and learning processes

o One on one guidance, as an encourager, when appropriate will ensure that no

student is left behind.

 Cooperative Learning Environment

o Every student will learn through small group learning in which students will be

encouraged to fully participate in all discussions and activities.

o Students should feel welcome to share their ideas and opinions with the class

without reticule.

o As a leader I will emulate appropriate behaviors through modeling in and out of

the classroom.

 Ensure Success

o I will include the viewpoint that parents are partners, seeking family support to

better understand their student.

o I want to help develop lifelong learners, who are enthusiastic about learning,

pursing lifelong goals, and who are able gain social skills.

o I will ensure that students have the skills and strategies to be able to work

effectively in different levels of cognitive domain as defined by Bloom’s

Taxonomy.
