Frame > Section Property

Form: Frame Assignment - Section Property

Use the Assign menu > Frame > Section Property command to assign frame section properties to
frame objects.

1. Select the frame objects to which frame section properties are to be assigned.

2. Click the Assign menu > Frame > Section Property command to access the Frame Assignment
- Section Property form.

3. Select a frame section from the display list.

Use the Filter edit box to limit the list to make selection of the frame section easier. Use the Clear
Filter button to restore the full list of frame sections.

4. Click the Apply button. Any previously assigned frame section properties will be replaced by this
assignment.

To remove all assignments, select the frame object(s), highlight the None option, and click the
Apply button.

Note that clicking the Modify/Show Definitions button will display the Frame Properties form,
which can be used to define a new frame section property.

When the Apply button is used, the Frame Assignment - Section Property form will remain
open until it is closed by clicking the Close button. This allows selection of another frame object
(s), to which a different assignments can be made.

If only one assignment is being made to only one set of selected objects, the OK button can be
used to both apply the assignment and close the form.

TIP: When a single nonprismatic frame section property definition is applied over the length of several
frame objects, the Assign > Frame > Nonprismatic Property Assignment Parameters command can
be used to specify the total clear length of the nonprismatic section and the relative distance along the
nonprismatic section to the start of the clear length of the frame object.
