 Chart on patients for ICU rounds
 Participate in ICU rounds; document tube feed recommendation and complete additional
charting post-rounds
 Attend nutrition department meeting and view ‘Medical Marijuana and Nutrition: More
Than Just the Munchies”’ presentation from the Academy
 Consult patients in both telemetry and orthopedic units; provide low fiber diet nutrition
education for 3 patients
 Assist Dietitian with Diabetes Management class
 Complete all additional charting on patients seen today
 Cohort conference call at 4:30

 Chart on patients for ICU rounds and in telemetry and orthopedic units
 Participate in ICU rounds; explain tube feed recommendation at goal during rounds to
other disciplines; complete additional charting post-rounds
 Consult patients; provide Carbohydrate Controlled diet nutrition education; follow-up on
patients who had previously received nutrition education
 HomeCare visit at 1 pm regarding Pt.’s significant 15 lb. weight loss in the past 30 days
 Complete HomeCare assessment and fax to outpatient GVH office
 Practice TPN calculations for Oncology patient

Date: 3/7 Total hours: 6:00 am – 1 pm (7 hours)

 In early out early due to snow storm
 Final review of Case Study presentation information with Clinical Nutrition Manager
 Chart on all patients in both ICU and other units
 Participate in ICU rounds; no new patients; recalculated needs and TF however he is
being extubated later today (good practice though!)
 Provided nutrition education on CHO controlled diet and low sodium diet; followed-up
with another patient with poor intake, initiated a supplement
 Updated charting on all patients

 Chart on patients for ICU rounds and in telemetry, orthopedic and rehab floors
 Participate in ICU rounds; low census only 3 patients currently admitted
  Consult on pediatric patient alongside Dietitian due to TF malfunction
 Provide nutrition education on low Na diet, CHO controlled diet and Coumadin
 Attend Rehab Meeting
 Finish charting nutrition evaluations and education assessments on all patients seen today
