    EKGs are both really cool and they mean a LOT…..

    Lead placement correlates with infarc, ischemia


    location and electrical blockages.

    Above is pictured Einthoven’s triangle. It is used clinically to detect the flow of electrical impulse through
    the heart, calculate direction of electrical discharge, and can be used to troubleshoot EKG lead
    displacements. It is also used in 3-lead telemetry (which you will never see).
    5 limb EKG placement….. this you will absolutely see!
    Diagnosing an MI on an EKG…. If the EKG sign is present in concurrent lead, you can trace to the
    vessel(s) effected
