Reporting to the Data Resource Management Manager, this position is responsible for

the development, implementation, and maintenance of the SAP Business Information

Warehouse (SAP BW).

Responsibilities
�Work with Business Analysts to analyze business information requirements, and
translate the requirements into logical/physical data models and interfaces that
best support the business.
�Facilitate business process and modeling for SAP BW development. This includes
translating user requirements into specifications for complex data models, source
data capture, dictionary design, data integrity and overall Data Warehouse
implementation.
�Work with end users to define reporting requirements, convert them into functional
specifications, assess them against standard business content, and determine the
required SAP BW design.
�Assist users in the development of BI reports using SAP BI tools such as BEx and
BusinessObjects (WebI).
�Ensure confidentiality of sensitive data is maintained by exercising professional
judgement in handling sensitive and confidential information.
�Analyze and correct production problems as they occur in the SAP BW, and work with
BASIS and ABAP personnel to define custom program specifications and
troubleshooting.
�Work with Operations teams to specify and support implementation of IT
infrastructure requirements for SAP BW, and to review and address technical
infrastructure for points of failure.
�Conduct presentations and communicate with colleagues, management, and business
units on requirements, project status and related Data Warehousing issues.
�Participate in the development of data architecture, policies, standards and
guidelines related to the enterprise-wide integration of data.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
�Bachelor�s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
�A minimum of 4-7 years IT experience, with 3+ years of SAP BW project
implementation experience.

Technical Competencies:
�Knowledge of the Utility Industry
�Strong working knowledge of data architecture, data modeling and multi-dimensional
database design.
�Strong working knowledge of SAP BW 7.0 or higher including InfoCubes, DSO�s,
Transformations, Update Rules, Transfer Rules, DTP�s, InfoPackages, Process Chains,
APD and Open Hub.
�Working knowledge of SAP ECC Data Extractors (e.g. SD, FI, CO, MM), custom generic
extractors, and Function Module extractors.
�Proficient knowledge in day to day BW operations such as creating and maintaining
BW Data flow objects, BW Process chains , reporting using BEX query design and
BusinessObjects suite of reporting tools, and BW performance optimization.
