Abstract

ASEAN is working on the change of its political, cultural and economic plans for a
more cohesive regional cooperation and integration by 2015. To this end, the purpose of this
research paper was to understand the establishment of Association of Southeast Asian
Nations (ASEAN), its purpose, underlying principles, structural framework, activities and all
other rules and policies in carrying out their functions and duties as an Association for
Regional Cooperation.
