E. WORK PROCEDURES
1. Preparation of iodoform
a. KI crystal was weighted by analytical balance for 0,6 grams
b. Erlenmeyer flask was filled by KI crystal
c. Erlenmeyer flask was filled by 100 ml H2O
d. Erlenmeyer flask was filled by 1 ml acetone
e. While shake, Erlenmeyer flask was filled by 65 ml NaOI drop by drop
f. The iodoform was precipitated out in Erlenmeyer
g. Iodoform was filtered by filtering paper
h. Iodoform was dried
2. Iodoform test
a. Three test tubes were filled by 5 drops isopropyl alcohol, acetophenone,
and ethyl acetoacetate for each tubes
b. Three test tubes were filled by 5 ml dioxane
c. Test tubes were shaked
d. Three test tubes were filled by 1 ml NaOH 10%
e. Three test tube were filled by iodine-potassium iodide solution until
f. Test tubes were shaked
g. Test tubes were kept for 3 minutes
h. Test tubes were heated for 3 minutes
i. Test tubes were observed
