SCOPE OF THE STUDY

Now a days, most of the banks are providing diversified facilities to


its customers. Out of various facilities internet banking services is taking
lead and has become the most popular and convenient mode of banking
facility amongst the customers. This present study is confined to the
preference of customers towards the usage of internet banking services.
The internet banking service users are spread over the world. But it is
not possible to collect all the data. So I only concentrating on a few
customers situated in tirur locality with a sample study.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


In the digital world people give more important to internet banking
services. Here , the researcher took this opportunity to make a glance of
study through various customers attitude towards internet banking
services and hence entitled the " STUDY ON CUSTOMER AWARENESS
ABOUT THE USAGE OF INTERNET BANKING SERVICES WITH SPECIAL
REFERENCE TO TIRUR LOCALITY".

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY


PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

# To study customer awareness about the usage of internet banking


services.

SECONDARY OBJECTIVES

# To know the customer perception about the internet banking services.

# To identify the factors affecting internet banking services.

# To know different kinds of internet banking service used by the


customers.

# To know the level of satisfaction of internet banking service users.


RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Source of data

Primary data
The data directly collected by the researcher with respect to the
problem under the study is called as primary data. It is first hand data.
Under this study questionnaire method and direct personal interview
methods are used to collect the primary data from the people in the
tirur locality.

Secondary data
The data that has been collected previously by others for some other
purpose is called secondary data. Under this study used the efficient
documents, official website and library books to collect secondary data.

Data collection method


Under this study questionnaire method and direct personal interview
methods are used to collect data from the peoples in tirur locality.

Sample design
A sample design is a small representation of a large population. When
some of the elements are selected the intention of findings out
something about the population frame which they are taken, that group
of elements is referred as a sample and the process of selection is called
sampling.
Target population
Population refers to aggregate of sampling units. Total population for
the study is 100 customers.

Sampling method
In this research the researcher has used non-probability convenient
sampling. In convenient sampling samples are selected according to the
researchers convenience.

Sampling unit
The respondents of the study are people in tirur locality.

Tools for analyzing and presentation


Graphs, pie diagrams, and bar diagrams are used to analyze and
interpret the data. Period of the study during the academic year 2017-
2018.

Sample size
The number of sampling unit selected from the population is called the
size of the sample. The sample size is consist of the 30 people in tirur.

Statistical tools and techniques


In this research, percentage analysis are used. Descriptive analysis is
used at the time of collection of data. Percentage analysis is used at the
time of analysis and interpretation. Tables and graphs are drawn on
percentage analysis basis.

LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY


# Time is constrain.

# There is a chance of bias because the data collected through the


personal interviews.

# Some of the respondent may not co-operate due to lack of time and
interest.

# Unavailability of secondary data also made problems.
