Primordial Soup
Typography will appear as a mass of
evolving radiolaria and similar forms
of microorganisms, which act as the
catalysts of Earth’s primordial life.

Materials
Glow sticks, Dish Soap, Salt & Water.

The salt creates an interesting texture

in contrast to organic bubble forms
created by the water mixing with the
glow sticks. Natural dish soap caus-
es both the glow sticks to increase
in luminosity and creates a parti-
cle reaction between the salt & water.

Lens & Lasers

A Canon 100mm Macro Lens was
used to capture imagery within the
type. Each individual letter form was
created from a 12x14 sheet of black
acrylic with a laser cutting machine.
A sheet of clear acrylic was used as a
backing panel for the typography.

in order to develop a structure that
mimics the appearance of a petree
dish or microscopic imagery.
