Lesson Overview/Rationale Students will strengthen addition and subtraction with one-
to-correspondence skills. Students will work in groups of
three.

Procedure
1. Teacher will present different adding and subtracting
problems with different images via PowerPoint
presentation
2. Students will get into groups of three

3. Each group will get a set of building blocks and


worksheet
4. One student will be assigned addition problem
5. One student will be assigned subtraction problem
6. One student will use blocks to create the problem and
answer
7. Each group will get a turn to answer their problems and
show visual with blocks

addition problems
2. I will evaluate use of one-to-one correspondences
