HUBUNGAN AKTIVITAS FISIK DAN KUALITAS TIDUR DENGAN


KUALITAS HIDUP LANSIA DI DESA LEMAH IRENG KECAMATAN
BAWEN

ABSTRAK
Konsep kualitas hidup sangat berkaitan dengan menua dengan sukses yang
sering dihubungkan dengan aktivitas fisik, kualitas tidur, pendidikan, dll.
Aktivitas fisik dan kualitas tidur yang menurun maka akan menyebabkan
penurunan fisik dan mengakibatkan lansia mengalami penurunan kesehatan fisik
sehingga mengakibatkan kualitas hidupnya menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mengetahui hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dan kualitas tidur dengan
kualitas hidup lansia di Desa Lemah Ireng.
Jenis penelitian deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional dan
sampel 84 orang, dengan metode accidental sampling. Pengukuran aktivitas fisik
lansia menggunakan Physical Activities Scale for the Elderly, kualitas tidur
menggunakan Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index dan kualitas hidup lansia dengan
WHOQOL-BREF. Analisis data menggunakan program Statistic Package for the
Social Science (SPSS). Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji chi square.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan lansia yang memiliki aktivitas fisik kurang
baik sejumlah 45 orang (53,6%), kualitas tidur kurang baik sejumlah 55 orang
(65,5%) dan kualitas hidup lansia yang kurang baik sejumlah 44 orang (52,4%).
Lansia yang kurang aktivitas fisik mempunyai kualitas hidup kurang baik yaitu
sejumlah 31 lansia (68,9%), dan lansia dengan kualitas tidur menurun mempunyai
kualitas hidup kurang baik sejumlah 35 lansia (63,6%). Berdasarkan hasil p-value
0,000<α (0,05). Terdapat hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dan kualitas tidur dengan
kualitas hidup lansia di Desa Lemah Ireng Kecamatan Bawen.
Saran dalam penelitian ini Diharapkan lansia untuk meningkatkan aktivitas
fisiknya dan kualitas tidurnya dengan begitu lansia dapat meningkatkan kualitas
hidupnya.

THE CORRELATION BETWEEN PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND SLEEP


QUALITY WITH ELDERLY LIFE QUALITY AT LEMAH IRENG
VILLAGE, BAWEN SUBDISTRICT

ABSTRACT

The concept of quality of life is closely related to successful aging that is


often associated with physical activity, sleep quality, education, etc. Physical
activity and quality of sleep that decreases will cause physical decline and lead to
elderly decreased physical health, resulting in decreased quality of life. This study
aims to determine the correlation between physical activity and sleep quality with
elderly life quality at Lemah Ireng village, Bawen subdistrict.
This research design used descriptive correlation with cross sectional and
sample 84 people were taken by accidental sampling method. Measuring physical
activity of the elderly used Physical Activities Scale for the Elderly, measuring
sleep quality used the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, and the quality of life of the
elderly measured by WHOQOL-BREF. Data analysis used the Statistic Package
for the Social Science (SPSS) program. Bivariate analysis used chi square test.
The result of the study show that as many as elderly with poor physical
activity as many as 45 people (53,6%), poor sleep quality of 55 people (65,5%)
and poor quality of life for the elderly 44 people (52,4%). Elderly who lack of
physical activity have poor quality of life as many as 31 poeple (68,9%), and
elderly with decreasing quality of sleep have poor quality of life as many as 35
poeple (63,6%). Based on p-value 0.000 <α (0,05). There is correlation between
physical activity and sleep quality with elderly life quality at Lemah Ireng village,
Bawen subdistrict
Suggestions in this study, it is expected that elderly increase their physical
activity and sleep quality so they can improve their life quality.
